Hi, I'm reaching out in search of a birth doula. I came across your website and your approach looks like a great fit. I had a doula for my first birth in Columbus at Riverside Hospital.  Some info about me:  I'm due October 16; I'm at almost 31 weeks.My daughter arrived 3 weeks early and I'll admit... I'm hoping her brother will too. I am a single mom by choice and do not have a partner; you would be my primary support person.I live in Canton, Jackson Township. I did my first labor/delivery unmedicated and hope to do the same for the second. I'm an older mom (44 years old) and am worried that the OB team will push for inductions and a c-section; so, I'm really hoping my doula can help me advocate for myself in those situations. If there is an emergency and a c-section is required, I will take that route though. I'm currently with Stark Women's OB team that delivers at Aultman, but I'm not opposed to switching to a team that delivers at Summa if it's not too late. Maintaining work supply with going back to work and pumping

My daughter latched really well for the first couple days of life. When she was three days old, I was readmitted to the hospital and couldn’t breastfeed her or feed her expressed breast milk due to the antibiotics they put me on. After the 10 days of antibiotics, she was used to the bottle and has been disinterested in latching. I keep trying, but her bottle preference is strong. I’ve gotten her to latch a few times for a few seconds to 10-15 minutes, but only 3-4 times since that day almost two months ago. I’ve been pumping and feeding her expressed milk, so I know that I have a good supply, but she cries when I try to put her to the breast and even with paced feeding her, it doesn’t help. I’m not sure what else to do.

I am currently pregnant with twins and would love a doula who can provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout the remainder of my pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period. I am planning a vaginal birth and would like support with comfort measures, breathing and relaxation techniques, positioning, advocating for my birth preferences, and helping me feel confident and informed throughout the process. I also plan to breastfeed my babies and would appreciate postpartum and breastfeeding support, including help with establishing breastfeeding with twins. Most importantly, I want a calm, supportive, nonjudgmental doula who will listen to me, respect my choices, encourage me, and help me feel safe and empowered during this experience.

I plan to do a medicated birth at Mount Carmel Hospital in Grove city Ohio. I preferably would like to stay as low as possible in pricing. I would like my doula to educate me on the whole birth process and all the safe and unsafe medicines/vaccines for me and baby and other things that are necessary and or not necessary for me and baby during the whole birth and postpartum process. I would like for my doula to have proof of certifications, I don’t mind how many years of experience you have. I would also like for my doula to help educate me as much as possible with lactation. There is a chance that baby MAY have Cystic Fibrosis, I have not gotten tested for baby yet but, father of baby and I both have the CF gene.

We are hoping to find someone who is experienced, supportive, and knowledgeable, and who can help us feel informed and confident throughout labor and delivery. I’m looking for a doula who will assist in developing a birth plan. I will give birth in a hospital but un-medicated. I need a couch for birth. I want someone certified with multiple years of experience. If someone is knowledgeable about hEDS, that is a bonus but not required.

I had peri-areolar type of reduction (incisions around areola, nipples+areola left intact) and may be able to breastfeed. You should be comfortable working with LGBT+ people.
