I’m set to give birth at St. Anns in Westerville, Ohio. I'm currently seeking prenatal care with Heart of Ohio [name hidden]. My insurance is Anthem - Blue Cross Blue Shield. I'm in my third trimester, delivering my second child. I’m hoping for a walking epidural if possible, laboring in the tub, and delivering in a sitting or side lying position. I’d like to use positions that may help reduce tearing. A big part of what I’m looking for is someone who can encourage me, help me stay grounded, and guide my partner through ways he can support me during labor. This will be his first birth, so I’d really love someone who can help him know what to do without taking away his role as my support person. I also won’t know my doctor until I’m actually in labor, so having someone who is knowledgeable, calm, kind, and comfortable advocating for me is really important. I want someone who can help me understand my options in the moment, speak up when I may not be in a position to do so myself, and help me feel confident and supported throughout the process.
