This is my first pregnancy. I’m looking to have an at home water birth BUT if that isn’t in the cards I’ll do a hospital water birth and I want to be surrounded by a black woman or even multiple black women who understand what it’s like to not be seen or heard. I want them advocating in the event I’m not able to advocate for myself. I want someone with a more natural and holistic approach because my partner and I aren’t religious people. Our budget is 2k or less.

Im looking for a midwife to help assist in my home birth. Due to 3 horrible birthing experiences I have decided im wanting to stay home where im most comfortable with a professionals assistance in a home water birth. Im not sure of my price for some one to take insurance (caresource) would be best but I understand that may not be able to happen.

Hi, I am a first time mom who would like a doula who can help me with information on creating a solid birth plan and help with having a natural birth and helping me advocate for myself while in active labor. I have not yet decided which hospital I will give birth at it is between Mount Carmel east or Ohio Health in pickerington, ohio. I have insurance through molina healthcare so looking for someone who accepts my insurance as out of pocket wont work for my financial situation.

[personal details hidden] so it would just be nice to have another woman next to me supporting and advocating for my needs my fiancé is present and will be involved but it’d be nice for extra hands and help. he is a mechanic and won’t be able to take long paternity leave so will also need a bit of help after giving birth as well:) probably will need most help couple weeks before due date leading up to maybe about 8 weeks post partum. not really sure on budget i’ve never really done anything like this before obviously! looking forward to connecting:)

Im a first time mom and alot of these things im seeing about birth and the things people are scared of some of the things after looking into them a bit ive realized is not required and I need someone who knows how all this works especially in the hospital [personal details hidden] and I just feel having someone who knows everything about all that with me to help explain ALL my options instead of the ones people usually pick would be so lovely and helpful, I would love to have a birthing pool involved but i also do not want a home birth I want to be in a hospital in case anything at all happens but I love the homebirth lay out if that makes since, im only 11 weeks so far and im actively getting on medicaid because we dont have much money and I do not wanna be in debt forever, I have an amazing partner who is helpful with everything already but neither of us know what to expect other than the horror stories ive heard from other women I dont know anything about the actual birthing experience and it terrifies me I want to have someone who can help explain things better to me so I can make decisions best based on me and how I feel about things.
