Lisa’s care and knowledge is truly exceptional. She supported our family with working towards breastfeeding while navigating our baby’s tongue-tie and release. She is kind, warm, and incredibly thoughtful and also made a world of a difference for me and flange fitting when I had pain while pumping. Seeing Lisa was the best decision we made in our postpartum period… I cannot recommend her enough!

Lisa was able to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment after learning about my struggles with painful latching. From the first minute of our consultation, she made me and my husband feel at ease and was super attentive to our concerns. She was able to identify and prioritize a feeding plan to help our baby recover the weight lost and to help my nipples heal. Although it was difficult to come to terms with supplementation, Lisa was compassionate and professional in helping me to understand pros and cons and why my baby needed to gain weight as the priority and providing a strategy so that I can get back to breastfeeding. I appreciate her time during the appointment and following when she was still very much attentive and checking in with us. Oh and her care plan and resources are extensive and super easy to use! Thank you so much Lisa!

I found Lisa’s business page late one night after being up with my fussy baby. Having already tried all the things (gripe water, cutting out dairy, having her sleep upright, you name it). I scheduled an appointment online for her next availability and I am so happy I did. She not only took the time to hear my concerns, reassure me I wasn’t crazy but actually cared about how all this could have been affecting me mentally and emotionally. Lisa referred us to a chiropractor to address the tension my baby had and then eventually a dentist to have him diagnose and revise her ties. She also gave me some things to try in the meantime to help with my babies latch and tons of information on how to help the procedure be successful. The dentist we saw spoke very highly of Lisa and told us “do whatever Lisa tells you in regards to stretches and exercises post procedure” aka Lisa is the real deal and knows her stuff! I am very glad I met Lisa and that she was able to help us. I will recommend her to everyone I know needing help! Thank you so much Lisa!!

Lisa is a true professional. She helped my baby so much and referred us to the best surgeon to assist in oral tie releases. She followed up and made sure baby and I were thriving. I highly reccomend her to all mother baby dyads who want to make sure the breast feeding journey goes smoothly. 10/10

Lisa is amazing at her job! We drove all the way from Napa to see her for about 6 weeks when we were struggling with my son’s oral ties. She helped direct us to the best pediatric dentist and body workers to help with his tongue and lip tie release and general body tension. He was 2 months at the time, he’s 8 months now and doing so well and still breastfeeding! I know we owe a lot of it to Lisa. She made herself super available, and it really felt like she was just a text away when I had a question or concern about something. I cannot recommend her enough!

Lisa was incredibly easy to connect with from the get go. Every step of our communication, even before meeting in person, was so quick and smooth. When we met her in person, her personality was very warm and approachable, and she made everything feel comfortable even when this is all new territory. After our apt, she was incredibly quick with her follow-up anytime I messaged her with questions that came up. She's
really on it and just a very knowledgeable resource to have in your pocket!

We are forever grateful to Lisa for the incredible support she provided during such an important time for our family. She quickly identified our son’s tongue tie and made sure we were immediately connected with a world-class team of professionals to help us move forward with confidence.
Lisa takes her work seriously and brings a rare combination of deep expertise, professionalism, and heartfelt care. She’s sensitive to both babies and mothers, always supportive, and incredibly easy to communicate with. She’s responsive, reliable, and a true pleasure to work with.
Thank you, Lisa—you made all the difference for our family.

Lisa is fantastic! She is very thorough. She answered all of my questions and addressed concerned I didn’t even know to ask. I would definitely recommend her!
Update: I saw Lisa again! I wish I could give her 6 stars. She is so compassionate and is up to date on breastfeeding recommendations.

Lisa is one of the most welcoming and supportive people. Her wealth of knowledge and kind approach is what every new mother needs. As a single first time mom, when I had doubts and questions, I felt reassured by Lisa. She invests in each client and is there for you at a moments notice which is hard to find in the healthcare field and so necessary for new breastfeeding moms. Lisa’s compassionate personality and passion in the field really shows and I cannot recommend her services enough. My baby adores her and is her biggest fan.

Lisa is an amazing resource and she was such a great help to our family.

Lisa was absolutely amazing. Every single time I fed my baby was so stressful until we met with Lisa. She was highly recommended by a friend. I’m so glad we made the trip down to Davis for our appt. I finally feel calm feeding my baby. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. She made us feel so at ease. She spent extra time with us and taught us more than we expected. She has made her office feel like a welcoming home. We are so grateful for her help.

Lisa is phenomenal! She is everything you'd want for someone in this position - friendly and welcoming, passionate about her field, and has extensive knowledge that she communicates well. She truly cares about her clients and it shows in every aspect!

Lisa is our hero. She has worked so hard to support our family, and we are seeing really promising results! We spent countless hours with other specialists and nobody compares to Lisa. Her attention to detail, compassion, patience, and general knowledge cannot be beat. She is also very timely, kind, and understanding! I have never once felt rushed by Lisa, as she seems to keep her schedule flexible and open to be able to accommodate the needs of her clients. When I frantically emailed Lisa on a Sunday night begging for support, she got me in to her office the next day (a holiday, nonetheless!) without issue. Find me an LC who can do this in a hospital setting! They don’t exist :)
Lisa has taught us so much about how to feed our baby, and has worked with our family to find solutions that are specific and feel good to us given our situation. Everything about her care is personalized, down to the documents she sends via her secure chat (which in itself has been a godsend). These documents show our child’s growth chart, educational links, recommendations, referrals, and reminders/summary of what we went over during our in person visit. We cannot say enough good things about Lisa. We are forever grateful for her support and 10/10 recommend her to anyone who will listen! She is so worth every second and cent of investment.
Also worth mentioning that Lisa wears a mask to keep your baby safe during their most vulnerable months of life :) her office is extraordinarily clean and has a cozy welcoming feel to it. No more dark, cold, uncomfy doctors office style lactation visits for us—Lisa is the clear winner!
— Rachel Thomas
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for Lisa! When trying to prepare to be a new mom, there is an endless list of things, Including going to see a lactation consultant. I will admit it was not at the top of my list, and I didn’t end up scheduling an appointment until it was needed. I wish I would have seen lisa before I even delivered (maybe just a virtual appointment would have been okay, before delivery) and in person once baby is delivered,
Including a follow up appointment. In my opinion and to my surprise, nursing and feeding your baby will be the biggest challenge you will face. There’s just so much to learn and to think you can do it by yourself along with a little help from the nurses at the hospital the short time you’re there, is wishful thinking.
Lisa is so knowledgeable, personable, helpful,
understanding, non judgmental etc.. to my surprise, not just on nursing, but all things baby!
I would not have the tools to continue to nurse my baby if it wasn’t for her.
See lisa early on and get a jump start of great nursing/feeding

If I could give Lisa with Davis Lactation Support, LLC more than 5 stars, I would. Lisa is a lifesaver! After my 3 month old received the diagnosis of a severe, the pediatric dentist strongly recommended Davis Lactation to help with pre and post tongue tie release management. I was so desperate to fix the hell my exclusively breastfeeding daughter and I were both going through and wanted to have the procedure ASAP. I felt an enormous amount of mom guilt and frustration that no other clinicians had caught the oral ties in my daughters first 3 months of life. I felt like I was too late in the game to have the release be effective. Lisa graciously saw us urgently in my desperation. The Davis Lactation center is a peaceful oasis, set up to help mama’s and babies feel as relaxed as possible while Lisa dedicates specialized one on one International Board Certified Lactation Consultant expertise. Lisa is one of the few IBCLCs in the greater Sacramento area that is “tongue-tie savvy” and boy am I grateful for that. On our first appointment we spent about 2 hours going through all the struggles that I came to realize were tongue tie related, nursing pitfalls, tongue stretches, you name it. Lisa covered it. She also brings her background as a Registered Dietician, which truly adds just another layer of invaluable knowledge Lisa brings to the table. Through her reassurance and support, Lisa created a personalized care plan for my daughter and me. Although I anxiously just wanted the tongue tie release to happen immediately, I will be forever thankful for the advocacy Lisa provided. She heavily encouraged us to have my daughter do body work BEFORE and after the release to avoid catastrophic results post release. As frustrating as this was to hear, my gut told me it was what I NEEDED to hear. Not only did Lisa help advocate for our tongue tie release journey in that moment and moving forward, she went above and beyond to refer and coordinate with body work therapists in the Sacramento region who would see my daughter urgently. Talk about a family and goal centered clinician! Long story short, with Lisa’s guidance and plethora of knowledge and resources, we successfully made it through the tongue and lip tie release procedure and recovery process. It truly is just that, a process. I wish I could help other families who are in my shoes realize, there is no quick fix for tongue tie/oral tether conditions. As a first time mom and ZERO knowledge of the recovery process, I am so incredibly thankful to Lisa for advocating and guiding us through the challenges of having a tied baby to promote success at the end of the long tunnel. We made it! Before this process, my daughter would gag as soon as a bottle nipple touched her gum line, and would gag and scream at my breast with every let down. With Lisa and other interdisciplinary clinicians help, my daughter is now a happy, babbling girl, with a completely healed tongue and lip. My daughter now ends each breastfeeding session with a smile and coo and can take a bottle at daycare! Thank you, Lisa. I know I have said it to you before, and I will say it again, you were the lifesaver for our family and my breastfeeding journey with my daughter!
— Heather Cianciolo
Lisa was such a godsend for my family. I gave birth to a premie and was given incomplete lactation advice in the hospital. Lisa helped my husband and I understand our baby and how to get enough calories into her while making sure we didn’t lose our marbles in the process. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in pumping and/or breastfeeding; she provided help in areas I didn’t even know I needed help in, and she was so gentle and respectful.
— Emily Meineke
Lisa has been so helpful! Our newborn was losing weight and our hospital provided lactation support was not meeting our needs. After just two days of following Lisa’s plan our baby’s weight started to climb and within a week she was up to birth weight!! We are so thankful and feel so well supported. We are hopefully well on our way to exclusively breast feeding!
— Brooke Darrah
Working with Lisa was amazing - if you are on the fence about if her services are worth it, they are! We were having trouble with latching and my milk supply wasn’t doing great with our daughter being 3 weeks early. With a few tweaks to our feeding routine and some pointers from Lisa, I was able to get my supply to almost double. She also confirmed that our daughter was lip-tied and that was a huge reason why we were having latching problems. I was able to breastfeed my daughter ONE HOUR after her frenectomy and her latching is getting better by the day. There is absolutely no comparison in the care you get from the hospital lactation consultants and the care you will get from Lisa at Davis Lactation Support.
