Hi! I’m Liz. I’m a Brooklyn-based doula providing birth and postpartum support in the broader NYC area. My doula journey started a year after the birth of our delightful, curious baby. I had been feeling an immense pull toward more local, hands-on work and a desire to help create the world I want our children to live in. Motivated by my birth and postpartum experience, I completed my DONA International Birth Doula Training in 2026. Since then, I have advanced my training through mentorship with Manhattan Birth and NYC Birth Village. Prior to pursuing birthwork, I spent a decade planning and implementing within nonprofits and startups. Understanding, connecting with, and communicating with people has always been the heart of my work. I love the active process of making sense out of messiness and adapting toward what feels right. I am a daughter, sister, partner, and mama. You can often find me climbing, reading, and exploring outside with family and friends. Nature has been one of my greatest teachers — I aim to live with gratitude, awe, and a deep respect for all creatures. My pronouns are she/they. I proudly support parents of all genders.

Birth & Postpartum Doula packages and pricing

Full Birth Doula Support Package

I will support you virtually and in-person before, during, and after your birth. The full package includes the following: • Two in-person prenatal sessions • Virtual support during early labor • In-person support during active labor, delivery, and immediately after birth • Two in-person postpartum visits • Text/email support, and as needed phone call support

Daytime Postpartum Support Package

My support can look like helping you with your newborn, exploring lactation and feeding, and doing light household tasks. I can make you tea and be present with you. I will listen calmly and without judgment to whatever is bubbling up for you. My daytime postpartum support package is $1650 for 10 three hour sessions within the first 4 weeks after your birth. Customized postpartum support packages available at a rate of $55/hour.

What to expect

***Birth Doula Support*** As your birth doula, I work in service of you and your path. I aim to protect and nurture your memory of your birth. Every birth is different, and my support will adjust as your needs emerge. Leading up to birth… we focus on what will help you feel most prepared. I will check in to see how you are really doing and can provide resources tailored to your learning style. We will collaborate during prenatal sessions to understand your birth process and preferences emotionally, physically, and logistically. During birth… we focus on continuously supporting you. I can support you with comfort measures, decision-making conversations, and help you find your rhythm and respond to changes. My goal is to be a grounded, consistent presence for you no matter how your birth unfolds. After birth… we focus on nurturing you. I can support you with lactation/feeding and help with newborn care and questions. We can walk through your memories of your birth and process feelings as they arise. We can also just sit and I will hold space for you in these early, tender days. ***Daytime Postpartum Doula Support*** My goal is to help you feel cared for and nurtured. Since each postpartum experience is unique, we will determine together what support you need most on a given day. Absolutely fantastic working with Liz. A real life saver. My partner had an unplanned c-section and I had to return to school to teach when our baby girl arrived. Having Liz fit seamlessly into our lives allowed me to focus on work and give my partner the time she needed to rest or focus on herself, for those few moments during the day. This was invaluable. Outside of that, Liz has a professional and hard working mindset. She is very organzied and communication with her was always easy, open and honest. It allowed me to make requests and work with her to organzie suitable times for all concerned. Along with her spreadsheets of detailed help sessions, Liz was a real pleasure to have in our immediate family in those precious first months. If you are looking for someone to add aue to your new family life, then Liz is the person for you!

Do you also support my partner as we work together?

Yes! I want your partner to feel comfortable working with me and know that I am a resource for them as well during our time together. Ideally your partner or birth companion joins our getting-to-know-you call and the two in-person prenatal sessions. I want us all to feel connected and able to work together to support you through all phases of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

What is your experience?

What is your experience? I am looking to support pregnant and postpartum families who are open to working with me as I continue to build my doula practice. In addition to my own experience of birth and parenthood, I have supported several clients, friends, and family through their pregnancy, birth, & postpartum journeys. I trained with DONA International and am certified as both a birth and postpartum doula with Manhattan Birth. I have taken courses on Childbirth Education, Normal Newborn & Care, and Lactation for Doulas. I am active within the Manhattan Birth community - a vibrant network of doulas with a wide range of experiences who I work with and learn from each day. My life experience also lends itself well to doula work. My career has consisted of shepherding people through the process of discovery, planning, undergoing change, and then making sense of and getting used to a new way. I have done this in a wide variety of settings while navigating bureaucratic rules, decisions under pressure, curveballs, conflicting opinions, and sometimes tough personalities and communication styles. My hobbies --including climbing, singing, nature, former coxswain-- have given me tools around breathing, presence, attunement, rhythm, movement, coaching, and managing intensity and fear.
