We had such a wonderful experience with Vennessa during the first month of our daughter’s life. She was incredibly warm, caring, and compassionate, and we immediately felt that our baby was in loving and capable hands. She was attentive to our daughter’s needs and brought a calm, reassuring presence to our home during such an important and sometimes overwhelming time. She was also extremely helpful with breastfeeding and provided thoughtful guidance and support as we navigated those early weeks. She helped us establish a healthy sleep routine that worked well for our family and gave us the confidence to better understand our baby’s cues and needs. We are so grateful for all of her support during those first few weeks. Her experience, kindness, and genuine care made a meaningful difference for our family, and we would highly recommend her to any new parents looking for compassionate and knowledgeable infant care.

Hi, I’m Catherine — a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula and mom who believes every mother deserves to feel supported, heard, and cared for. My approach is rooted in “mothering the mother,” providing a safe, judgment-free space where families can feel confident and informed throughout their journey. As a birth doula, I support families through unmedicated births, inductions, epidurals, VBACs, and cesarean births. I use comfort measures like movement, positioning, breathing, counter-pressure, massage, and hands-on support while helping families understand their options and advocate for themselves. As a postpartum doula, I focus on caring for the whole family while making sure mom is cared for, too. From newborn care and feeding support to postpartum recovery, nutritious meals, and helping you get the rest you need, my goal is simple: to help you feel supported, confident, and cared for during one of the biggest transitions of your life.

It’s so hard to find someone to trust to help take care of yourself and your family, and Catherine has been such a big help. Her support with my newborn allowed me to rest and recover, focus on physical therapy and bonding, and be a present parent for my growing family. I highly recommend Catherine for Labor and Post-partum support!

I'm Jen Ballew, a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator and pediatric sleep coach and the founder of The Parenthood Project USA. For over a decade I've helped exhausted families find real, sustainable rest, supporting more than 250 families along the way. My approach to sleep is warm, biology-first, and led by your child's nervous system, never cry-it-out or leaving a baby to cry alone. I work with everything from newborn sleep shaping in the early weeks to responsive coaching for older babies and toddlers, always building rhythms that fit your family rather than forcing a rigid method or anything not developmentally appropriate. My practice began in Southern California, where I spent ten years supporting local families through birth, postpartum, and sleep. Today the work is nationwide and fully virtual, and I'm expanding in person into New York City as I put down roots in Brooklyn. Wherever you are, my care can meet you there. My offerings reach across the whole journey into parenthood. Alongside sleep, I offer birth preparation through my program The Threshold, blending somatic practice, evidence-based education, and nervous system support, with a specialty in VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). My postpartum care supports recovery and the tender early weeks, including nourishing meal prep with healing foods rooted in traditional care, placenta encapsulation, and gentle postnatal bodywork. At the heart of it all, I believe bringing new life into the world is a profound rite of passage that deserves reverence, preparation, and care. I hold each family's path with deep respect, and I would be honored to walk alongside yours.

My husband and I are so thankful to have worked with Jen through my first pregnancy. She worked with us through a series of educational sessions in our home which really worked for us. We were looking to get a hands-on learning experience to walk us through everything to expect for labor & delivery but really we got so much more. Yes, you will get insights on pregnancy, birth and postpartum but Jen gives you undivided support and care - it really feels like a personal journey. I felt comfortable being myself and sharing with her about my life and preferences which was crucial in creating my birth plan. Her sessions were so impactful. I recalled a lot of her key notes while I was in labor and was able to make decisions that felt right for me in the moment. Outside of this, my husband felt really confident and empowered in his role for me as well. I also found that everything she taught us on partner advocacy has gone beyond the delivery room and strengthened our relationship overall which has been a huge plus! It was amazing to have had her support and wealth of knowledge in preparation for the birth of my son. I highly recommend working with her if you’re looking to experience an informed, supported, and empowered journey!

Hey, I’m Kaleish, a public health practitioner, doctoral student (in public health) and a certified full-spectrum (birth and postpartum) doula. I currently hold certifications in providing NICU doula support as well as High Risk doula support. I am currently in training to be a certified community lactation educator. Think of me as your perinatal support person. I support women and birthing people of color who are feeling dismissed, unsure, or overwhelmed during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I started this work because I realized how many women of color are navigating pregnancy without the support, guidance, or advocacy they deserve. It deeply concerns me how often Black and Brown women have their concerns dismissed by medical providers—sometimes resulting in traumatic and avoidable birth experiences. Now, I help women and birthing people of color move from feeling unheard and unsure to feeling informed, supported, and empowered to advocate for themselves and their birth preferences. If you’re a woman or birthing person of color feeling dismissed, unsure, or overwhelmed—you’re in the right place. This journey is yours. I’m simply here to hold space, answer your questions, and make sure you feel safe, seen, and supported every step of the way. Random Facts: I've supported births at Katz Women's Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Hungtinton Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. I am a lefty/ left handed. I don't have a sense of direction even with a map, however, I will find my way to support you. I was born in the Caribbean and spent most of my childhood and some of my teenage years living there. As first time parents, my wife and I went into her pregnancy with nervous anticipation. Even after reading the books, going to feeding seminars and ingesting as much information as possible there was still the fear of the unknown. Brie calmed all of those fears with her knowledge, experience and calm demeanor. I will never forget her steady hand when we faced unexpected challenges. She took my and my wife's fears and confusion, explained our options and helped give us the birthing experience that we wanted. I could not imagine doing this again without her. I can't express my gratitude enough Brie. You helped deliver my daughter and for that I will always be grateful.

Chandel is a gem! She was communicative from the start, and went the extra mile when it came to insurance verification, which is usually an annoying process. She was such a calming and supportive presence during those overwhelming first few weeks with our newborn. Her steady reassurance, patience, and kindness made a huge difference for our family during a challenging transition. We felt genuinely cared for and supported every step of the way.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Kamelya 4 years ago after our son, Jonah, was born prematurely. As new parents, we thought we were prepared after all the reading and research we had done, but nothing could have truly prepared us for having a premature baby. Having Kamelya with us was a no-brainer. She was recommended to us by a colleague, and she not only took the best care of our son, but also took the time to teach us how to care for him ourselves. She showed us how to feel comfortable and confident holding, feeding, and bathing him all in the comfort of our home. We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver. Kam was so kind, gentle, patient, and might I add funny! She truly became such an important part of our journey as new parents, and we will always be grateful for everything she did for our son. Thank you for everything, Kam! ❤️ Love, Sharon, Doug & Jonah
