About me

Hi! I'm Maria Silver Pyanov and I’m a birth doula, postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and parent educator since 2007. What does that mean? It means my job is to help you have your best birth experience and feel confident during early parenting. I specialize in prenatal education, personal and privately tailored parent education during and after pregnancy, and in-home postpartum support. I provide practical and emotional support and education from conception through early parenthood. Looking for a childbirth class? I provide group and private classes. Looking for continuous labor support? We're there every step of the way. Need in-home help after you baby arrives? My team and I are the Mary Poppins for new parents, working our magic to make sure YOU feel supported and cared for. Beyond exhausted? I’m here to help you get overnight rest with a postpartum doula or with sleep coaching and guidance. I’ve been affectionately referred to as the living Google of pregnancy, birth, and parenting . And as a mom of six living kids who have been birthed at home, in a birth center, a hospital, and via c-section, I have the personal experience behind all of my professional education and training to really prepare and support families.

Service introduction

As experienced perinatal professionals, my team and I offer support from preconception through the toddler years. Our primary services include continuous labor support as birth doulas, in-home support as postpartum doulas, lactation and infant feeding support, comprehensive childbirth education, and sleep support.

Packages

Birth Doula Support

Our primary birth doula support includes two 2-hour prenatal visits, continuous labor support through 1-2 hours postpartum, and one postpartum visit. It also includes email, call and text support for questions and concerns between prenatal visits and in the postpartum period.

Postpartum Doula Support

Our in-home postpartum doula support is available day and night hours. Our doula support includes non-medical support for postpartum healing, breastfeeding and feeding support, sleep hygiene, developing a routine, newborn care and soothing techniques, light household assistance, and light nutrition support.

What is a birth doula?

What is a postpartum doula?

Whether you’re still pregnant or your baby has already arrived, we’re here to help you have a positive postpartum experience! As postpartum doulas, we provide support to families as they adjust to life with a new baby or babies. The “fourth” trimester, known as the weeks immediately following a birth, is a time of healing, excitement and adjustment. We are here to offer nonjudgmental support as you find your parenting style. We are an extra set of hands with infant care, infant feeding and breastfeeding knowledge to help minimize some of the stress, so you and your family enjoy your new baby!

What is comprehensive childbirth education - birth classes?

Get Prepared For Birth! Our classes are designed to equip parents to have a positive birthing experience whether they plan to give birth at a hospital, in a birth center, or have a home birth. As a childbirth educator, I’ve supported families with every type of birth imaginable. There is no right or wrong way to give birth! As a birther myself, I’ve had home, hospital, and birth center births. I’ve had unmedicated low risk births, a high risk hospital birth, and an emergency c-section birth. I’ve taken my children home after just four hours, after three days, and even after extended NICU stays. Whatever the plan, whatever the outcome, I’m here to educate and support!
