I need Support during my delivery at Emory Decatur. My plan is less intervention birth, strong mental support, friendly and knowledgeable doula. I am very scared of tearing and also making a bad decision out of fear. I’m scared of epidural and Pitocin as well (needles in general), because of some of their side effects.

This will be my third pregnancy and I plan to give birth at home for the first time. My budget is $2.5k. My requirements are must have experience and knowledge working with families of color, certified lactation specialist, and experienced in home births. I am 26 years-old and have breastfed both of my babies so I want to do that again. Postpartum I am looking for help with sleep training, cooking and light household chores to allow me to get as much rest as possible.

Would like to labor at home as long as possible or even until delivery if able. Other wise hospital. Budget is at 3500 for both labor and postpartum services. My birth plan is to avoid interventions as much as possible. I do not want to be induced unless medically necessary. No membrane sweeps or breaking of water, I would even love to skip cervical checks. I would love to water birth at home if safe and able. If not I would like wireless monitoring if available and to be able to move freely around the room. I would like to deliver in whatever position is most comfortable and protects the most from tearing. If he wants to I’d love for dad to catch the baby and deliver the news of the gender. I want to wait to cut the cord until it is done pulsing. I would like to protect the golden hour to bond with my baby. No immunizations or erythromycin ointment for baby. If a boy no circumcision until at least 8 days later with a pediatrician.

Planning on giving birth at a hospital, uneducated or with an epidural. I am at week 13 right now, planning on having delayed cord clamp, wanting to stay as relaxed and oxytocin-full during delivery, want to have minimal tearing and no C-section. I’m looking for a doula to support me throughout my birth journey, including labor, delivery, and preparing for postpartum. I’m new to the whole doula experience, but I recently saw a friend have a doula, and I was amazed by the support she received. Her doula supported her throughout her pregnancy, helped prepare her for labor, coached and encouraged her during delivery, and even noticed things during labor that the nurses weren’t as attentive to. Seeing how much of a difference that support made for my friend really opened my eyes to wanting that same type of guidance and reassurance for myself. I would love to find someone who can help me feel prepared, supported, informed, and confident throughout this entire experience—from pregnancy to labor and into postpartum.

5th pregnancy, 1 living child, 1 deceased and 2 miscarriages. 2 c-sections. I've never had a doula before and was encouraged to look into it. I plan to give birth at Emory. I don't have a birth plan, but would like a VBAC. I have insurance BCBS and would like to utilize it, if possible.
