I'm looking for someone to take the night shift with my newborn when he or she arrives. I have a 3-year-old who will be almost 4 when the new baby is born. As I was previously unable to breastfeed, I want the night nanny to feed the baby formula, change the baby, and handle the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. If there's an opportunity to establish a sleep schedule early and the night nurse can do that, even better. I'd like to have this service for 3 months. Our budget is $25k to $30k

I plan to give birth at Christiana Care in northern Delaware. I’d like to find a doula that takes my insurance and can provide the 3 prenatal, 3 postnatal visits and labor/delivery support. I’m going to be a first time, single mom by choice and am not sure who, if anyone, will be in the delivery room with me and I’d like an advocate and someone I trust to help support and help me understand what is going on and my choices in real time. I’ve also never given birth before so someone that can help me figure out what to expect, what should even be included in a birth plan and what choices or things I should consider. I’m an older mom so someone with alot of experience is appreciated, but I value personality matching and a good fit more. I plan to give birth in the hospital. I am not sure how much doulas really cost, so I would say my budget is about $1-2k. I haven’t created a birth plan yet. If the postpartum doula can speak gujarati, that would be great. The more experienced the better. I would like them to help with cooking, laundry tasks as I’ll have some older adults who have their recipes but they’d need help with these tasks (somebody can stir the food or cut it etc). I'm reaching out because I'm looking for a doula who can provide the support and advocacy I've been missing throughout my pregnancy. Unfortunately, I haven't received the prenatal care I needed for much of my pregnancy due to switching OB-GYNs and dealing with other challenges. As a result, I've often felt dismissed during appointments, and it's been difficult to feel heard or supported by my medical providers. I'm hoping to find a doula who can be a supportive presence during the remainder of my pregnancy, help me prepare for birth, and provide reassurance and advocacy during labor and delivery. My birth plan consists of having a low calming environment. I prefer things to go as smoothly and safe as possible.
