Hi, I’m Megan Winfrey – and I’m here to support you through one of life’s most powerful moments. As a certified birth doula with over four years of hands-on experience, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside many families through a variety of birth experiences—natural births, cesarean births, and even NICU stays. I understand that every birth is unique, and my mission is to help you feel empowered, informed, and deeply supported every step of the way. My approach is compassionate, calm, and grounded in evidence-based care. I offer emotional, physical, and informational support to help you navigate your options and make decisions that feel right for you and your baby. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, home birth, or something in between, I’m here to advocate for your wishes and create a space of peace, confidence, and joy. I’m also currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Chamberlain University, further deepening my understanding of maternal and newborn care. And beyond my professional journey, I’m a proud mom to a vibrant one-year-old boy who inspires me every single day. Frequently asked questions

1. When should I book a doula?

It’s best to reach out during your second trimester, but I’m happy to accommodate later inquiries if I have availability. Booking early helps secure your spot on my calendar.

2. Do you support hospital, home, or birth center births?

Yes! I support all types of birth settings—home births, hospital deliveries, and birth center experiences. I work with you to make sure your preferences are respected wherever you give birth.

3. Will you be on-call for my birth?

Yes. I go on-call at 38 weeks, available 24/7 to respond when labor begins. I also stay in close contact with you in the final weeks to ensure you’re supported emotionally and practically.

4. What if you’re unavailable during my birth?

As a nursing student, I occasionally have academic or clinical obligations that may conflict with birth availability. While I do everything I can to be present, if I am unable to attend your birth, I will offer a 50% refund of your total package as compensation. Any prenatal services completed will still be honored and supported. I’m fully committed to your care and transparency every step of the way.
