Hannah Servis

Hey there, my name is Hannah Servis. I am a certified birth & postpartum doula/childbirth & lactation educator in the Jackson, Mississippi area. I officially got certified as a doula in 2026, but my birth journey truly began in 2016 when I had my first baby. I later began supporting families and friends in 2023 through childbirth education, understanding birth rights/informed consent, and emotional support. My passion is helping women feel calm, informed, and fully supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I truly desire for women to see birth as a beautiful experience rather than something to be afraid of. As a mother of five with a wide range of birth experiences from hospital to homebirth, I understand how personal this journey is. My role is to provide steady, grounded support while helping you prepare mentally, emotionally, and physically for the kind of birth experience you desire. My approach is evidence-based and Christ-centered, creating a peaceful and supportive space for you to feel safe, heard, and empowered in your decisions. To find out more about these services visit my website! Could not recommend having Brandi as your doula enough!! Being first time parents with lots of doubts and uncertainties about birth, she helped us to feel so confident before labor even began. She guided me to achieve my exact desires for unmedicated labor and offered every kind of support to help me through. Plus she taught my husband how to be a wonderful support person as well. If you’re on the fence about hiring a doula, know that Brandi is so worth the investment!! I couldn’t have done it without her.

Why I became a doula? In July 2008 I gave birth via unplanned c-section to my first daughter. I was very young and uneducated. My doctor literally told me that I wasn’t progressing, I could either have a c-section or wait but she was leaving to go on vacation so someone else would have to deliver my baby if I waited. I know crazy right!!! In 2016 with my second pregnancy I planned to have a VBAC but at 37 weeks I was over being pregnant. I asked my doctor if could schedule a c-section at 39 weeks. With zero hesitation, no encouragement to wait my doctors scheduled the surgery and my daughter was born via c-section, Nov 2016. Third and final pregnancy in 2022. This time I am well educated and do all the things to ensure a successful VBA2C. I thought ok I read all the books, watched all the videos, and listened to all the experts. This is when I discovered, doulas. At first I thought I’m not paying someone to do what my mom can do. Boy was I WRONG! As much as our loved ones want to be there for us truth is it’s hard for them to watch someone they love go through the struggles of child birth. I can without a doubt say that if it wasn’t for my doula I would have not been to able to stick to birth plan in having an unmedicated vaginal birth. I want to give the amazing gift of doula birth support to as many mommies as I can. I truly believe that childbirth is an underrated experience that is often times rushed. Some women only get one chance to do it, whether you are a first time mom or a mom of many each childbirth is unique and I am excited to be on this journey with you.

Hannah Bertram

Hi, I’m Hannah — a doula with a heart for women and a passion for presence. My journey into birth work began in 2022, rooted in deep research, prayer, and a growing conviction that every woman deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered during birth. With a background in English from the University of Kentucky, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling and the power of listening — both of which now shape how I support families in one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. I’ve always been empathetic by nature, and stepping into the role of a doula felt like a natural extension of who I am. I believe birth is not only a physical event but an emotional and spiritual one too, and I’m here to walk alongside women and their partners—helping them feel grounded, informed, and confident every step of the way. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, home birth, or something in between, I’m honored to support your choices and hold space for your unique experience. I believe “life isn’t meant to be a sprint but a pilgrimage” - being a doula is one of my pilgrimage stops...

Hannah empowered us through education. She was always prepared and handled complex situations and emotions with compassion and strength. She shared in our prenatal excitement, provided an encouraging and empathetic presence during the exhaustion of a long labor, and held my hand gently through processing tough post-partum emotions. She helped me to reframe my experience in ways that reduced self-criticism and increased gratitude. I truly believe that her guidance and support contributed to my daughter's and my good health and positive outcomes in labor and delivery because she provided such well-researched information and the space to make informed decisions. I consider myself to be well-researched and educated about childbirth, and she still offered new and helpful insights to me every time we spoke! As a doula, Hannah is rock-solid in her knowledge, faith, communication skills, and ability to provide emotional support. Her approach is holistic and comprehensive- I believe that if my labor went completely differently, she would have been just as well-equipped and unflappable. I'm so happy that we got to be a part of Hannah's early career as a doula, and I highly recommend her services. Thanks again, Hannah! My husband and I will be forever grateful for your help in bringing our daughter into the world.
