I want a doula to be with me on my delivery at the hospital

I will be delivering at Baylor Scott and White Grapevine. I'm unsure of budget and am trying to figure out what my insurance may or may not cover. This is our first child, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of cost. I would like to have a natural birth, and plan to breastfeed. I would like to avoid an epidural and induction if possible, and would love resources to prepare for a natural unmedicated birth. I want to remain open minded to the possiblity that things may not go the way I want them to. I am with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and have the Blue Choice PPO if relevant.

I will give birth at Texas Health Harris Downtown Fort Worth. I will need help with breastfeeding afterwards too. If they specialize in VBACs, that would be great!

My name is Michaela and I am 32 weeks pregnant, due November 9th, and currently looking for a doula. My main reason in wanting a doula is that this is my second pregnancy (May 2024) and I very much want a VBAC, so having a doula that is experienced with VBACs is important to me. I am also African American and we have higher chances of c-sections, preterm births and mortality rates so it is important that everyone on my birth team understands that and helps advocate for me and my baby. I will be delivering at Texas Health HEB and budget is roughly $1500 or less, especially since I have limited time left. Looking for a doula during pregnancy and birth. Plan to give birth at medical city Dallas. Unsure of budget. Birth plan- I am a surrogate and intended parents are in Dallas as well. Plan to go into labor naturally and use relaxation and breathing techniques. Prefer gas rather than epidural. Looking for doula to advocate for my Birth plan and help as support person for communication between parties through the birth. My mom will be there as a support person as well but lives 2 hrs away so may not be there right away when I go into labor.

First pregnancy and im having twins, i would like to have them naturally but the doctors are already talking about inducing me at 32 or 34 weeks possible c section i am only 29 weeks, i currently have medicaid . I currently have an OBGYN that does accept my medicaid. I had a c section with my daughter in 2022, and I really want to try for a vaginal birth. My OBGYN and I are not connecting as I would like and I did more research and feel better finding a mid wife or doula that I can connect with and listen to my wants and needs. I appreciate it! I plan on giving birth in a hospital setting. have medicaid health insurance. I believe its a cooks childrens plan but I would need to double check.
