Minnie Powell - Postpartum Doula

About Minnie

Hello everyone, my name is Minerva Powell but I go by Minnie. I’m a certified postpartum doula located in northern California the Bay Area. I’ve been doing this wonderful work for the past 5 plus years and I enjoy every moment of it! My practice ties to creating a judgment, freeze zone for all parents to seek information and emotional support. In my free time I enjoy spending time at the beach with my children. I also love a good movie night with my husband.

Welcoming a new baby is a beautiful, life changing experience but it can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and filled with uncertainty, especially during the night. That’s where I come in. As a postpartum night doula, my role is to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support to families during the critical early weeks and months after birth. I specialize in overnight care, helping parents get the rest they need while ensuring their newborn is safe, comforted, and well cared for. Throughout the night, I assist with feeding support (whether breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or combination feeding), diapering, soothing techniques, and establishing gentle sleep routines. You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to support you one peaceful night at a time!
