I am looking for a birth doula to support me and my husband through labor and delivery. I plan to give birth at a hospital, unmedicated, and my insurance is Anthem Blue Cross. I have ideas for a birth plan, but nothing set in stone and am open to ideas from a doula on what to implement.

I am looking to do a home birth in 2027. I am not yet pregnant but will be starting to try to conceive in the next few months. I am looking for a midwife or OB for prenatal appointments as well as birth at home or at a birth center. I would like support during pregnancy with education, preparing for labor, helping me understand my options, and creating a birth plan/preferences document. During labor, I’m looking for someone calm and supportive who can help me advocate for myself, ask questions, and help me process decisions without pressure unless medically necessary. Postpartum support is my biggest priority. I would like help with recovery, breastfeeding/pumping support, newborn guidance, emotional reassurance, and preparing to return to work as an elementary teacher. I am hoping to breastfeed/pump and would value someone knowledgeable about lactation and pumping for working moms.
