About Momo

Hello everyone, my name is Momo Bass and I am a certified birth doula as well as a trained postpartum doula that serves the greater Los Angeles and Pasadena area. Aside from doing this rewarding work for a while, I am also a mama myself, to three amazing kiddos! When I'm not cheering on my kids at soccer practice, you'll likely find me tending to my ever-growing houseplant collection, or tending to myself at the gym. But my true passion lies in supporting families embarking on their incredible birthing journey. Motherhood is what threw me into the thralls of what it means to bring life into this world. It's this firsthand knowledge, coupled with my relentless curiosity about the miracle of birth and the transition into becoming a parent, that led me to become a birth and postpartum doula. Bringing my kiddos earth side became my superpower, and it’s become my mission to ignite that same fire in the families I work with. I believe that starts with finding judgment-free informational and emotional support, and I believe it starts when parents take back control of how their labor & postpartum experience goes by making informed decisions on what’s best for yourself and your growing family. “Everyone wants to hold the baby, but who will hold the mother/parents?” As a birth and postpartum doula, I will!

DAISY BIRTH PACKAGE

This package includes: - 2 virtual intake prenatal meeting, one to do intake and get to know each other, and one to go over both plan and preferences - on call for you starting at 37 weeks - in person labor support - up to 1 hour of immediate postpartum support - 1 virtual postpartum meeting

This package includes: - 1 virtual intake prenatal meeting - 1 in person prenatal meeting to go over birth plan, comfort measures, and postpartum - access to use my physical "Birth Binder" - on call for you starting at 37 weeks - in person labor support - up to 2 hours of immediate postpartum support - 1 postpartum in person meeting

MARIGOLD BIRTH PACKAGE

This package includes: - 3 in person prenatal meetings to do intake, go over the process of birth as well as birth plan, comfort measures, breastfeeding and postpartum - access to use my physical, and digital "Pregnancy Binder", "Birth Binder", and "Postpartum BInder" - on call for you starting at 37 weeks - in person labor support - up to 2 hours of immediate postpartum support - 2 postpartum in person meetings up to 3 hours each

What to expect

I currently offer full labor & birth support in all forms, meaning : induction, cesarean, home birth, hospital birth, birth center etc. I am there when you feel you need me no questions asked. Support includes, extensive prenatal prep, postpartum prep, emotional & physical support, 1-2 hours of postpartum support directly after birth. I currently offer full postpartum in home support as well. I can do day time or nighttime hours. Support includes, prenatal prep for the postpartum experience, emotion and informational support, newborn care info and tips, light housekeeping, food and meal prep, birth processing support, older sibling support, and the list goes on! Think of me as your postpartum personal assistant.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️ Mo was amazing, she made me feel so comfortable going into birth and postpartum. She educated not just me but my partner too on so many things. It helped put his mind and my mind at ease. Monique was a big advocate at the hospital, I have a hard time speaking for myself but she my voice during that time. Frequently asked questions

Can you still support me if I am delivering in a hospital?

YES! While i do believe there should be a doula for everyone who wants one, in my opinion, it's the families in the hospital setting that need doulas the most. If nothing else a doula is an extra set of eyes and ears that make sure you are heard and seen.

When should we call you?

The short answer is, when you feel you need me. I tell all my families to call me the moment they feel they would like extra support. I know what I signed up for and would rather be there too early and reassure you, then arrive too late because you were thinking of my comfort during your big day.
