I am a Care Advisor, searching for a birth doula and/or lactation consultant, for my client that is having her first baby. She is giving birth at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland and the family resides 4 miles away from the hospital. Mom has a doula benefit through her UHC PPO insurance.

We are looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced postpartum doula to help support our family after the arrival of our baby. We would ideally like someone with postpartum doula training or certification and several years of experience caring for newborns. Current infant CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred, along with excellent references and a background check. We are looking for someone who is confident with newborn care, including diapering, soothing, bottle feeding, burping, safe sleep practices, and helping establish healthy newborn sleep routines. Experience supporting formula feeding would be a plus. We want someone who is supportive of our choices and takes a calm, nonjudgmental approach to caring for our baby. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, patient, dependable, and easy to have in our home. We would love a doula who can provide guidance when we need it while also respecting our preferences and helping us become more confident as new parents. Our estimated budget is $35–$50 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, responsibilities. We are open to discussing rates with the right person.

Just found out I'm pregnant, and I'm looking for a doula who can be by my side during prenatal and during birth. My husband gets queasy and faints at the sight of blood, so I need an active helper by my side! I hope to give birth at the Everett Providence Hospital vaginally with pain relief meds, but I do want centering and holistic birthing practices used as well. I'm only 6 weeks pregnant, so I don't have too many details figured out, but with this being my first pregnancy, having a large support team is important to me. I would like to establish a relationship with a doula before birth so that I know somewhat what to expect in care during birth and post-birth. I am also interested in home visits post-taking the baby home so that I can make sure I can shower and such while the baby is looked after. I plan to give birth in my home, and have a water tub available. I do not have a budget. I want my birth to be in my living room, with a warm tub of water available. I want to be able to go into any position I feel is needed. I would like delayed cord clamping, and no vaccines or shots of any sorts after baby is born, and to keep the vernix caseosa on after birth for at least 24 hours. I would like my husband to be there, and possibly my mother, along with a midwife and a doula. I would like some music, and support from everyone in the room. if a medical emergency were to happen, there is a fire station across the street, and hospital is 10-15 minutes away. This is my first pregnancy, and I would love a happy and safe home birth. I am still actively researching.
