It was in 2019 that I interviewed my grandmother about her birthing experience, she told me about her mother, and how in the south at that time it was common to have a home birth, and your neighbors would serve as seasoned midwives and doulas. I felt called to this story, of your village coming to provide you with support and care at your most vulnerable. As a birth and postpartum doula, I have served over 100 families from all walks of life, offering calming, comforting support to them and their support system! I believe in providing physical, informational and emotional support to the families I work with. I meet every family I work with where they are in their journey and offer the kind of comfort and advocacy that is needed for a beautiful and holistic experience. My mission is to make sure you have the birth or postpartum experience you want, and to aim higher than safety

Hi! My name is Kristen and I am a registered dietitian with over a decade of experience and a certified lactation counselor. I have worked with countless clients helping them optimize their health prior to and during pregnancy, through their fourth trimester, and throughout breastfeeding as well. Over the years I have helped parents feel confident when feeding and nourishing themselves (and their little ones)! My method is surprisingly simple. I provide you with the latest scientific information, personalized for your unique needs, while working through all the external and internal influences that determine your food choices. I have a child of my own and experienced firsthand the ups and downs of pregnancy, as well as the difficulties many face when breastfeeding (and eventually starting solids!). Together, we work to achieve the goals you set out to accomplish, and I’m there cheering you on every step of the way!

Recent review

Kristen was extremely helpful and supportive with providing information for nursing/ feeding infants with food allergies and sensitivities. She is very knowledgeable in the field and provided really useful tips and advice when it came to identifying the allergy, adapting diet while nursing, weaning to formula, as well as introducing solids. Highly recommend!!!

Hello mama I’m a Newborn Care Specialist- NCS works in the home I usually starts the day you come home with baby or the day of home birth. I work towards empower new parents to become confident in their new roles, by helping establish good feeding and sleeping routines and habits. They typically work overnight or work 24/7, for up to 3-4 months. I Will usually take on full care of your newborn overnight so parents can rest, with the exception of bringing baby to feed with the nursing parent. I am highly trained to educate and empower the parents in those first few months with their baby, which can often feel overwhelming .My philosophy includes helping families establish healthy routines, especially around feeding and sleep, by employing gentle, developmentally supportive techniques in a safe environment.

My name is Chamaine, I am Birthing Postpartum Doula with a deep commitment to supporting families through one of life’s most transformative experiences. I bring a nurturing presence and a calm, reassuring approach to help create a warm and comforting environment where parents feel truly supported and valued. My mission is to offer compassionate, knowledgeable care to families welcoming new life—guiding them through both the joyful moments and the inevitable challenges with patience, empathy, and expertise. In addition to my core practice, I have experience working in kosher kitchens and providing attentive, respectful care for infants following their bris, ensuring families feel confident and cared for during this sacred time.

Recent review

We had the pleasure of having Chamaine support and guide us for the first five weeks after our daughter was born via C-section. As first-time parents returning home after a difficult pregnancy followed by a brief NICU stay, we felt very overwhelmed and anxious about entering the new phase of our lives. Chamaine was like a ray of sunshine entering our home, providing us with an instant sense of warmth and comfort. She made a concerted effort to connect with and care for our entire family, including our newborn daughter, our (extremely needy) dog, and both of us parents. We’ve gleaned so much valuable knowledge from Chamaine that we will surely carry with us throughout parenthood. We couldn’t have asked for someone more nurturing, responsible, thoughtful, and attentive to care for our daughter, and it brought us so much peace to know that she was in such great hands each day and night. We were so lucky to have had Chamaine as our baby nurse, and none of us (dog included!) could have gotten through this challenging adjustment period without her. We appreciate her tremendously and she will always be a very special part of our family!

I purchased yoga classes as a package from Sarah and have been delighted. I am a postpartum mama and Sarah is patient with a talent for creating sequences that target just what you need to work on. She is an active listener so things that you mention during intake as a new client with her will influence what she teaches you during class. I have also taken Zoom class with Sarah and she is knowledgeable about many areas of prenatal and postpartum. Sarah’s background in education blend perfectly with her yogi style to make her a powerhouse of a teacher. Don’t miss an opportunity to connect with her for a class if you are a new mom.

Body Conceptions is designed to create a lean and sculpted body of a dancer, but you don’t have to be a dancer to do it! Throughout each session, every part of your body is targeted – from your arms and abs to your thighs, glutes and heart. Both the cardio and body-sculpting components of the method use integrated movements that involve multiple muscles and require engagement of and connection to your core. Every session will test your limits – but the current, exciting music combined with the energy and joy infused into the workout will make you almost forget you are working so hard! Our approach to personal training during your fertility journey, pregnancy, and postnatal recovery springs from our extensive understanding of research-based practices combined with a deep respect for the uniqueness of your body. Our trainers know how to navigate the changes you are experiencing and can pivot as needed as your body changes from week to week and even day to day. We are very sensitive to your individual needs, and we have a network of practitioners prepared to support you if needed. Many of our clients begin training with us before they are planning their pregnancies and stay with us through all of their pregnancies and beyond!

Hello! It is an honor to support you in your unique journey of parenthood. I am a mother of 6 and have been serving in the maternal health field for over 30 years. This is such a special time for families and my desire is to reduce stress and increase knowledge so that parents can flow confidently through this sacred life transition.

Recent review

Anne was my doula for both of my kids and I credit her to a smooth pregnancy and delivery. Anne was available for all my questions, including when I got Covid while pregnant, and offered my guidance and even a recommendation that totally “cured” my symptoms (!). She also guided my husband and I in education on pregnancy, birth and parenting, provided helpful resources and advocated for us. Both my children were “sunny side up” during labor which made delivery challenging. I swear that if it wasn’t for her, I’d have had to have a c-section which I was hoping wouldn’t happen. Considering how difficult it was to push my kids out, if Anne wasn’t there to offer positioning tips, relaxation tips, or breathing tips, I really don’t believe I would have been able to push my babies out. I am so grateful to have met Anne and had her part of these incredible milestones!

After a chronically sleep deprived first year with my son, sleep training saved us. This experience inspired me to become a certified child sleep consultant. In 2018, I completed 16 weeks of intensive training with the Family Sleep Institute and Little Monster Sleep Solutions was born. I believe in safe sleep, vaccines, and following the AAP recommendations. I use a variety of sleep training methods customized for each individual family - as no two children are alike, neither are their sleep plans. My recommendations are heavily research-based with some (safe) anecdotal suggestions thrown in for fun!

Hello and welcome! I’m Stariera, a certified full spectrum doula, wellness coach and a master’s level social worker serving people throughout New York City. I enjoy working with people and have developed an understanding of human behavior psychology, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving. My decision to become a doula was born from a desire to support women earlier in the journey — from pregnancy through birth and into postpartum — helping them assess, explore, and process both the joyful and challenging emotions that can arise. I believe that when we recognize and tend to difficult feelings early, we can create space for healing, confidence, and connection in the newborn phase and beyond. Prior to Doula care, I bring 10 years of experience as a Social Worker supporting individuals and families overcome challenges such as health issues, emotional stress, housing instability, family conflict, and behavioral or socio-emotional needs. In addition, I supported mothers navigating postpartum depression and the emotional complexities that can come with new motherhood. Through that work, I developed a deep understanding of how critical emotional support, self-awareness, and self-care are to the postpartum experience — not just for surviving, but for thriving. This background allows me to hold space for clients with empathy, nonjudgmental, and a deep awareness of the complexes life can bring; especially during the perinatal period.

Stariera has proven to be an exceptional doula, possessing all the qualities that make a great one. She is an excellent listener, warm-hearted, sensitive, and professional all at once. Her knowledge, confidence, and soothing voice set her apart. I highly recommend Stariera as your doula.
