Birth Assistant

This package is designed to support you whether you’re planning a home birth or a hospital birth. It includes three prenatal visits where we’ll explore your birth preferences, create a personalized birth and nutrition plan, and practice comfort techniques while preparing for postpartum recovery. You’ll receive clear, supportive education to help you understand medical terminology and birthing options so you can make informed, empowered decisions. I provide advocacy and guidance to help you navigate hospital protocols or prepare your home birth space, ensuring you feel confident in any setting. From 37 weeks onward (or earlier for high-risk pregnancies), I offer 24/7 on-call availability for emotional support and reassurance. I’ll be by your side during labor at home or in the hospital, offering continuous physical, emotional, and informational care. A trusted backup doula is always available for added peace of mind. After birth, you’ll receive one postpartum follow-up and two postpartum visit focused on healing, newborn care, feeding, and emotional well-being. Transportation is included!

Rates range from $55 to $75 per hour, depending on time of day, service intensity, and location. Custom packages and sliding scale options are available to ensure support is accessible for more families. A free 20-minute consultation is offered to explore your needs and create a personalized care plan.

What is placenta encapsulation, and what are the benefits?

Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the placenta after birth by cleaning, steaming (optional), dehydrating, and grinding it into a powder then placing it into capsules for postpartum consumption. Many people choose encapsulation to support hormone balance, increase energy, boost milk supply, and reduce symptoms of postpartum mood disorders. While scientific research is still ongoing, many parents report positive effects. The process is carried out with great care and cleanliness, using food-safe materials and strict sanitization protocols. Turnaround time is typically 24–72 hours if yours is the only order being processed. If there are multiple encapsulations scheduled, please allow up to 4 days for completion. Pickup and delivery of your capsules are included, and additional options like tinctures, salves, or keepsakes may be available. Prices range from $285 to $400, depending on the method and any add-ons. A detailed consultation is included to ensure the service is right for you.

What is childbirth education, and what can I expect from a class?

Childbirth education classes are designed to prepare you (and your partner or support person) for labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. These classes cover essential topics like the stages of labor, pain management techniques (including natural coping methods and medical options), informed decision making, partner support, hospital or home birth planning, and what to expect after delivery. Classes are offered in group or private formats and can be customized based on your birth preferences or unique needs. You’ll leave feeling more informed, empowered, and confident as you approach birth. Classes typically run over several weeks or in a one-day intensive, and prices range from $200 to $400, depending on format and length.
