I would love a homebirth but do not have the financials for a midwife. I’m planning to deliver at NY Presbyterian 168th Street. Our budget is up to $2,000. It’s important for me to deliver naturally without epidural. I want the optimal cord clamping, skin-to-skin, no vit K, no eye ointments, no vaccines right after birth. I would like to change positions during labor. I would like the doula to instruct me on breathing techniques before I go into labor and also see us after I give birth to show the basics of a newborn care. I’m 34 years old, speak English and Polish. My husband is 36 and of Caribbean descent.
Hello! I am a first time mom and I am interested in receiving birthing support by learning how to breathe during birth, what positions work best, and also having emotional support during this process. I am not entirely sure of all that a doula can offer and would love to learn more. My husband is also very helpful and wants to support me as well. Thank you!
