Hi! My name is Chanley and I’m currently pregnant with my first baby. My husband will be on deployment around the time the baby is supposed to be born. So I’m navigating a lot of this on my own. My family does support me, but they live a couple hours away, so they can’t always be here in person. I’m really looking for a doula who could provide some guidance, support, and reassurance through the rest of my pregnancy and during birth. Since this is my first baby, having someone experienced to help me understand what to expect and advocate for me would mean a lot. We are looking for a night nanny / doula that can help sleep train our 5 month old son. He is a very difficult sleeper that has become used to nursing to fall asleep. Sleep regression really started around the 4 month mark and has not gotten any better. Nights currently consist of waking every 2 hours and struggling to go back to sleep. Mom is having an extremely difficult time and needs help as soon as possible. Dad works full time and struggles to assist during the week. This is baby number 5, and we are at a loss. Budget at this point is whatever it takes to get a better sleeping baby.

Another support system I can rely on in a new state. We are expecting our second child this spring and are looking for overnight support for mom once a week or every other week starting in early May, when dad returns to work, so he can get a good night's sleep. Support would include helping mom to change baby and get set up for breastfeeding, attending to our toddler if baby wakes the toddler up, helping get baby back to sleep if there are issues, baby laundry (running through washer/dryer/folding), downstairs child area tidying (helping us to put away books and toys), and potentially helping with some light food prep (washing and cutting up fruit and veg). Our preference would be alternating Wednesday nights, Tuesday ok too. Probably looking at 4 (but possibly up to 6) visits during those two months, ideal hourly rate $40.

I plan to give birth at the hospital, I already had one baby but my experience in birth was really bad I wan someone that knows about birth that can fight and care for my needs My in-laws at giving me this experience away so I’m not really sure what is their budget I want to have golden hour skin to skin with my baby, delay the cut of the umbilical cord, they are my priorities, and I want to learn about breast feeding, with my first we didn’t have the support we wanted at the hospital with this and didn’t know how to get it so I couldn’t breastfeed. My partner and I left our previous Provider in southern pines for concerns of "Modern Birthing Practices" and not supporting our decision for a home or natural birth, also we wanted to keep ultrasounds and doppler to a minimum and they highly disliked that. we have received 2 ultrasounds so far and genetic testing, and they bragged that everything looked great with the baby. So far no health concerns or high-risk pregnancy, so we feel great about a home birth. We are looking for a Midwife and doula in the area.
