Hello, my name is Orlismar (Abby) and I am a certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula based in Long Island, New York. I have over 12 years of experience supporting families and caring for newborns, preemies, and twins. I focus on helping parents feel confident, rested, and supported during the early days of their baby’s life. I am CPR and first aid certified and always aim to create a calm and caring environment that fits each family’s unique needs. Overnight On-Call Care – Singleton
Quiet overnight support while baby sleeps. I remain in a light sleep state and attend to the baby as needed.
Overnight Awake Care – Singleton
Fully awake overnight care with hands-on newborn support. Includes feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and light baby-related tasks such as bottle prep, washing pump parts, or folding baby laundry as time allows.
Overnight On-Call Care – Twins
Overnight support for twin newborns while I remain in a light sleep state, ready to assist when needed.
Overnight Awake Care – Twins
Fully awake care for twins with consistent overnight support. Includes feeding, diapering, soothing, and baby-related tasks like tidying the nursery, washing bottles, or prepping for the next day.
Daytime Support – Singleton
Daytime newborn care with help feeding, soothing, and supporting baby’s routine. Also includes baby-related household tasks like bottle washing, baby laundry, and organizing nursery areas.
Daytime Support – Twins
Daytime care for twins with hands-on support for feeding, changing, and establishing daily routines. Includes light household help such as baby laundry, bottle prep, and nursery organization.
What to expect
As a Newborn Care Specialist, I offer overnight and around-the-clock support to help establish healthy sleep habits, assist with feeding (including breastfeeding and bottle feeding), and care for your baby so you can get the rest you need. I am experienced in working with singletons, twins, and preemies, and I always tailor my care to each baby’s unique needs and the family’s parenting style. My goal is to ease the transition into parenthood and create a peaceful environment where both parents and baby feel supported and cared for. As a postpartum doula, I focus on the overall well-being of the entire family during the fourth trimester. I offer emotional support, newborn education, light household help, and guidance on recovery and self-care for new parents. Whether you need help navigating feeding challenges, want to build confidence in baby care, or simply need a reassuring presence in the home, I am here to support you every step of the way.
