About Ossai

Hi, I’m Sai, a birth and postpartum doula, infant care specialist, and mom of four. My journey into this work began through my own lived experience with postpartum depression and anxiety, which opened my eyes to how deeply parents need support during pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood, and how often they’re expected to navigate it alone. For over five years, I’ve supported families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with compassionate, nonjudgmental, and evidence-based care. As a birth doula, I provide emotional support, education, advocacy, comfort measures, and a calming presence throughout labor and delivery, helping families feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. My postpartum work focuses on newborn care, recovery support, feeding guidance, and helping parents adjust with confidence during those early weeks at home. Before becoming a doula, I spent more than 15 years working with children as a special education teacher assistant and childcare supervisor, which gave me a strong foundation in infant development, family-centered care, and supporting children with diverse needs. I’m especially passionate about maternal mental health, birth equity, and ensuring that every parent, regardless of background, has access to respectful, nurturing care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Being part of BornBir feels like a natural extension of my mission, and I’m grateful to grow within a community that centers families, advocacy, and healing.

Reset and Rest Package

Practical, compassionate support to help you recover and adjust after birth. The Postpartum Reset Package offers 12 hours of daytime postpartum doula support over two weeks for families who want hands-on help, guidance, and emotional reassurance during the early postpartum period. This package includes: Newborn care and soothing support Light household help (laundry, dishes, tidying shared spaces) Feeding assistance and education (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, combo feeding) Emotional support and check-ins for the birthing parent Newborn care education and confidence-building tips Support is customized to your needs and priorities for each visit.

What to expect

I offer compassionate, evidence-based birth and postpartum doula care tailored to each family’s unique needs. My services include prenatal education and preparation, labor and birth support, comfort measures during labor, advocacy, newborn care education, infant feeding support, emotional support, light household help, meal prep, overnight care, and placenta encapsulation. I specialize in supporting families with multiples and parents navigating postpartum anxiety or depression, while creating a calm, nurturing space where families feel informed and cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. My goal is to help families feel supported, confident, and empowered as they transition into parenthood.

As new parents, entrusting someone with the overnight care of our newborn was a major leap of faith. We were blessed to find Ossai. She was not only loving, attentive and nurturing to our baby girl - she made us both feel very at ease, and was helpful and supportive toward my wife in so many ways as far as her postpartum needs. Ossai is a great communicator, and sent us a detailed text every morning just before leaving, detailing the past night. Above all else, Ossai is just a naturally warm and comforting person. She led with love, cared for all of us, and is welcome back in our home anytime.
