I plan to give birth at Stamford Hospital. This is my first pregnancy after a long journey of infertility and I really don't know what I am looking for specifically in terms of birth because there are so many options and I have so many questions and I would like someone to be able to help explain my options and how to best convey them and advocate for them.

I’m having my second child. I’m planning a hospital birth at Garnet in Middletown, NY. I’m looking for a doula who will support me through labor. My first birth experience was not what I was hoping for. I needed to be induced due to having preeclampsia at 37/38 weeks. I was in labor several days and I pushed for 6 hours. I am hoping to be able to reduce the time. I would like to meet ahead of time and then I’d want my doula present during the birth at the hospital.
