I have Medi-Cal coverage, and I am reaching out because I am looking for prenatal and birth support that is culturally respectful, trauma-informed, and centered around human connection and traditional care. I am originally from Guatemala, and it is very important to me to find a midwife, doula, or care provider who understands or respects Indigenous and culturally rooted approaches to pregnancy and birth. If possible, I would especially appreciate support from an Indigenous, Native, Black, Latina, or BIPOC provider, or someone with experience working with Indigenous Latin American women and migrant communities. I also want to share that I have experienced two previous pregnancy losses: one in 2021 at approximately 5 months of pregnancy, and another in 2025 at approximately 3 months. Because of these experiences, I am hoping to find care that feels emotionally supportive, respectful, and safe throughout this pregnancy. I would like to ask: Do you accept Medi-Cal? Do you offer midwifery or doula services? Do you have Spanish-speaking providers? Do you have providers with experience supporting Indigenous or culturally diverse families? Hi I am looking for midwife for home birth (my hospital is kaiser Oakland and my zip code is 94706 Berkeley 15 mins from Kaiser). Kaiser insurance would be great but open to options

This my first baby. I would like to birth at home and in case of emergency help with a transfer to the local hospital and be present for the birth. I have a full birth plan that intend on discussing with my midwife but that's the basics of it. Preferably I'd love a midwife that's holistic and medically trained. I would love if they took insurance but if not my budget is $3,500. If a payment plan is available I would love that. I am currently 10 weeks along with no complications so far.

10 weeks along with my first baby. I am hoping for a home birth with someone who is competent, experienced and patient, who can help me with any prenatal care. I also want to find someone who would be open to transferring to the hospital if there were complications. My husband and I would like to take the most natural route possible, but also want to make sure we do whatever is best for baby and me. Since this is our first, we are still learning and open to trying different home birth options.
