Military hospital is where I plan to give birth. I would say our estimated budget 2 thousand. We want to have an epidural, push when my body feels it not when told, immediate skin to skin, delayed cord clamping. Experienced enough to help with an easy birth. I am 21 and this is my first kid and I want to breast feed.
Overnight Newborn Care Needed — Roland Park, Norfolk Schedule: Sunday–Thursday , 3:00 AM–11:00 AM (5 nights/week) Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $22–26/hr (based on experience) Location: RolandPark, Norfolk, VA About the Role I’m looking for a relaxed, reliable overnight caregiver for my newborn son. Full transparency: this whole “mom at 37” thing was a plot twist nobody saw coming, myself included — so I’m figuring this out as I go, which is exactly why I want someone experienced in my corner . He was born premature and spent time in the NICU before coming home, so a little extra gentleness and attentiveness go a long way with him. He has a dedicated nursery fully stocked with everything he needs. His dad lives out of state but is involved in his life. I run operations for a local home care agency and work remotely on a flexible schedule, so I’m home during the day — this role is specifically to cover overnight hours so I can actually sleep. This is a steady , recurring schedule — not occasional or on-call — for a household that values consistency and wants you to feel genuinely comfortable in my home, not like a guest walking on eggshells. I’m not a micromanager or a helicopter parent — I trust experienced caregivers to do their job and I’ll stay out of your way . Responsibilities Simply put: keep him safe, fed, changed, and comfortable through the night — and give him kindness and love while you’re at it. That means: - Overnight feeds, diaper changes, and soothing - Following our current feeding plan (thickened/anti-reflux formula — full instructions and training provided) - Swaddling and settling him back to sleep between feeds - Keeping a log (provided) of feeding times/amounts, diaper changes (including BMs), and sleep/wake times - Keeping my cats out of his space (no pet care needed — just gentle shooing if they wander in) A Few Quirks, So You Know What You’re Walking Into I’ll gladly stock up on your favorite snacks and drinks — no need to bring your own or ask. Laundry is not part of this role, so don’t worry about it. Make Yourself at Home. Full access to the kitchen, living room, and WiFi. TV’s yours to use. If he’s asleep and you want to be on your phone, watch something, or get some homework done — go for it. Students welcome; bring your laptop. I just ask that my bedroom and patio stay private. Required uniform: pajamas. This is a comfort-first household. You’ll also have full access to a real-time baby monitor during your shift. It’s just me, my son, and the pets: two cats, EJ and Gibbs (friendly — though Gibbs is a talker , he will absolutely say hello, probably more than once), and Glenda the chameleon, who’s more of an art installation than anything requiring interaction. For transparency: I have security cameras in every room of the house except the bathroom. What We’re Looking For: Required: Significant newborn/preemie care experience — this is a must, not a nice-to-have Required: Confident, comfortable swaddler Required: Current infant CPR certification Required: Reliable transportation — consistency on this schedule is essential Required: Comfortable with cats Required: At least one professional reference Comfortable with reflux-related feeding needs (training provided) Calm, attentive, and independent overnight Reliable and punctual — this schedule depends on consistency

plan to give birth at Sentara Leigh budget depends on servies provided
I plan to give birth in the hospital. I would like to find a doula who will advocate for me, and provide guidance on more holistic ways to aid in pregnancy.
Need support at home. Had preeclampsia so blood pressure is elevated. Someone who understands black maternal health care. Just need support someone extremely knowledgeable.
Giving birth at Sentara Leigh hospital but hoping to go through the midwifery program. My hope is to avoid unnecessary medical interventions, but I’m worried I might cave or not be able to handle it so I need a good support team. I need her to speak English and be certified.
I know that the due date is near, but plans that I had in placed, rearranged. I’m in need of a postpartum doula to assist post delivery. Thank you in advance.
