I plan to give birth at the VCU labor and delivery. I am working with the midwives there and they encouraged me to find a Doula. I have a 21 month old daughter (through IVF) who was an emergency C-section. It was a very traumatic birth, and I was septic two weeks after my C-section, which led to a lot of complications and emergency surgery. I am aiming for a natural VBAC with as few interventions as possible this time around. Because of the costs of having two children through IVF, my husband and I do not have a lot of extra spending money, so we are looking to spend no more than $1000 if possible.

I plan to give birth in a hospital. My estimated budget would be covered by my insurance (Medicaid). And I am not sure of my birth plan.
