About Rin

My name is Rin and I am trained full spectrum doula through Birth Advocacy Doula Training (BADT) currently working on my certification. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am based in Orange County, NY and serve Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, and Putnam counties. I am a former social worker and now birth worker. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum have always been points of interest for me and I am excited to support you through this process! I believe that community and having a village to support you through these changes is a pillar to a successful society. I hope to be a villager through birth work. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for you and to make the transition to the next phase of your life as smooth as possible. A little about me - I am a social worker who turned to birth work to be a better villager for my community. In my free time I enjoy thrifting, reading fantasy, art, spending time with my family (animals included of course), and a good meal. I love to be outside in any capacity but I also enjoy a cozy day in with my partner. I hope you choose me to support you through this transition.

Birth & Postpartum Doula packages and pricing

Labor and Birth Support

Providing birth and labor support during your active labor and birth. This will also include an initial appointment to discuss your birth plan, boundaries, and overall desires for your labor. While in labor, I will remain with you to support you and your support person or partner through the labor. I will do this based on each individuals birth plan. This may include breathing techniques, hip squeezes, partner support, position support, etc.

$300 USD · Flat rate

Postpartum support

This package includes pre-planned in person support for postpartum parents. After giving birth, the body needs time to reset and recover from what it has been through. What each person needs during this time differs. I can provide newborn care, child care for your other children, housekeeping, meal preparation, bottle sanitization, or just be a person to process birth with. Please reach out to discuss specific requests.

Virtual Consultation

This package is a virtual consultation. We will get to know each other a bit better and discuss what your hopes are for in a birth or postpartum doula. In this time you will be able to ask questions so you can make sure I am the right fit for your family.

What to expect

As a full spectrum doula I am trained in prenatal and postpartum support in addition to birth and newborn care. I am trained in what to expect during labor, how to support you through this process, and how to plan accordingly for changes that may occur within that plan.
