Hi, This is my first pregnancy and I am currently 10 weeks along. I am looking for guidance and support from a doula who can help both my husband and me navigate this journey. I am planning to give birth in a hospital. My goal is to have a natural birth with an epidural. At the same time, I am open to any medical recommendations necessary to ensure the health and safety of both myself and the baby. I would also love to build an ongoing relationship with a doula who can continue to support me during the postpartum period, including education around lactation and breastfeeding. We are covered by Carrot Insurance and Kaiser, so it would be wonderful if you accept either of these.

I am planning to give birth at home, in Dublin California. I’m mainly looking for a midwife and possibly a doula for support. I am planning to use my insurance at Kaiser for my scans up through the third trimester, and mainly want the midwife and possible doula team for delivery. I imagine visiting with them beforehand, but relying on my insurance for everything else leading up to delivery. Budget is $5k or less I want to give birth at home, unmedicated, with minimal interventions.

I am originally from Guatemala, and it is very important to me to find a midwife, doula, or care provider who understands or respects Indigenous and culturally rooted approaches to pregnancy and birth. If possible, I would especially appreciate support from an Indigenous, Native, Black, Latina, or BIPOC provider, or someone with experience working with Indigenous Latin American women and migrant communities. I also want to share that I have experienced two previous pregnancy losses: one in 2021 at approximately 5 months of pregnancy, and another in 2025 at approximately 3 months.
