I am planning to give birth in a hospital. My goal is to have a natural birth with an epidural. At the same time, I am open to any medical recommendations necessary to ensure the health and safety of both myself and the baby. Making sure we are doing things in the right way, like changing diapers, putting her to sleep, feeding amount etc.

Our baby just turned 3 months old and has started having a lot of problems for daytime feeds. We only do breast milk ( mostly breast, sometimes bottle ). During day time he will start crying and arching their back strongly when trying to feed. He tries a little bit but then quickly starts to cry , arc the back and reject the breast ( similar with bottle ). This started a couple of weeks ago and hasn’t resolved. We had a video call with a doctor and they think it could be reflux and we’ve started the medication esterday. However the situation hasn’t improved and the baby continues to be uncomfortable. We know we have to wait a few days for the medication to take effect but we would still like to see a lactation specialist as soon as possible. Diapers have been ok ( wet and poop) although seem less frequent than before ( still 6-10 wet diapers a day )

I'll be giving birth at Sutter Health's Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California. I have Sutter Health Plan, HMO and a letter from my doctor saying she supports me having a doula.
