Looking for an overnight doula 1-2 nights a week (10pm-6am) for 6 weeks for the new baby to help us get some rest, starting to sleep train baby, light chores as needed, and just overall support with baby and family. -I would like to explore my options of giving birth at home. -I live in fayetteville, NC. -This is my first baby. -I am 32 years old. - I have Tricare insurance and would like to be able to use it however, it is not my only option. -This being my first baby, I am still figuring things out but I would like to experience a low-intervention birth, vaginal birth, and no induction. - For pain management I am open to movement/walking during labor, yoga ball, breathing/ relaxation techniques, and position changes. I am not sure about interventions --I'd like more information on this. -For emotional support, I am looking for calmness, minimal coaching, and someone to advocate for me - Once baby arrives I want immediate skin to skin, delayed cord clamping, keeping baby with me or dad at all times, and no vaccines.

I would like a doula as a first time mom. I’m higher risk and my only option for pain management is an epidural. I would like to try giving birth naturally as the epidural and the side effects scares me more than anything. I feel a doula may be very beneficial for me.

Hi! I’m a first-time mom due April 16 and planning to deliver at a hospital in the Raleigh area. I’m starting my search for a birth doula and am especially interested in someone experienced, calm, warm, and very grounding. I’m naturally an anxious person, and pregnancy has definitely heightened some of my fears around birth, medical complications, pain, and the unpredictability of labor. One of the biggest reasons I want a doula is to have someone experienced by my side who can help me stay calm and present, explain what’s happening when things feel overwhelming, help me advocate for myself and ask the right questions, and remind me of my options if plans need to change. I respond really well to reassurance and clear information, and I’m looking for someone who brings a steady, confident energy into the room rather than adding to the intensity. I’ve also been very intentional about preparing physically. I’ve strength trained consistently for years and am continuing to stay active during pregnancy as I’m able. I’m working on my breathing, deep core and pelvic floor awareness, and I’m really interested in learning how to prepare my body for labor and recovery. I’m still early in pregnancy and developing my birth preferences, so I’m not attached to having one specific “perfect” type of birth. What matters most to me is feeling safe, informed, supported and respected throughout the process. I’d love a doula who is knowledgeable about both physiologic birth and hospital births/interventions and who will support my decisions without judgment if my preferences change during labor. My boyfriend will also be very involved in the birth and in choosing our doula. It’s important to me that our doula works well with both of us and helps him feel confident supporting me rather than replacing his role. Ultimately, I’m looking for someone I genuinely connect with and can trust during what I know will be a very vulnerable experience. Experience is important to me, but so is personality and chemistry. I’d love to hear more about your approach, experience supporting anxious first-time moms, how you work with partners, and what your prenatal, labor and postpartum support typically looks like.

Home birth Unsure of budget I have had 3 c sections looking for someone confident and willing to help me have a natural birth at home

This is my first baby! We are a military family, so all of our immediate family actually lives in CA. They will be coming out for the birth, but I would love to have someone in my corner helping me through things. We also have quite a lot of providers in our office and I feel like I don’t know any of them. I am worried it feels impersonal. I have epilepsy and a positive encouraging mind set is super important for me. I really want someone to advocate for my needs and desires for our birth plan. Additionally, since it’s our first baby, any advice is so welcome. My husband will be going back to work quite quickly after birth so just looking for some guidance. Planning to give birth at Smithfield Hospital UNC. Planned Vaginal Birth with Epidural. TBD on days/hours. The help would be mostly for me but also helping guide my husband through it. I would love for faith to be a large part of labor encouragement. My husband and I are both Christian and would love to labor leaning on God, prayer, worship.
