I plan to give birth in a hospital but I work in MA and live in NY. My closest family lives an hr and a half away and my mother lives in VA. I am in a IUI cycle right now and I am looking for education and coaching, someone that can be part of my birth team and someone that can be an advocate if I end up delivering in NY since my OB is in MA.
I’m hoping for support- occasional overnight as well as daytime help, for mom and new newborn and sometimes toddler (3 yr old). I plan to breastfeed and cloth diaper. Looking to get an idea of what a birthing / postpartum doula would provide, as well as a night nanny. I’m giving birth at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.
I plan to give birth at home. I already have a midwife. I have 2 toddlers at home as well. I would like to have a water birth. I have an autistic 3 year old daughter and a 2 year old son who might be autistic. I would need help with maintaining schedules and other menial tasks throughout the day. I am also looking for a night nanny to help with said toddlers and the baby throughout the night. My toddlers have been struggling with their sleep schedules and I fear it’ll be twice as hard when the baby arrives.
