I’m 40. Had two complicated births in my 30s(one was from preeclampsia the second ICP and GD Diabetes). I would love to have a midwife. If I need to do a hospital birth instead of a birth center that’s fine. Prefer Tacoma General.
I would like to give birth in a birth center with minimal interventions. I want to be really intentional with the interventions and screenings in the prenatal period as well. This is my first pregnancy at age 27, and my husband wants to be involved in the process as much as possible.
Check ups would be needed. A ultrasound for heartbeats and images of the baby are great to have. And I would definitely a midwife during labor.
I plan on giving birth at home or in a burthing center If I have to pay for services myself, my budget is $8,000 I would like to have a natural, unmedicated birth with the least amount of intervention possible. I don't want continuous fetal monitoring, I don't want the cord to be cut right away, and I want someone who can provide coaching to help me move things along.
