About me

Hi, my name is Shakti, I'm a certified birth & postpartum doula, and also a certified yoga teacher (prenatal, postnatal...), and an Ayurvedic practitioner, specializing in bodywork and h traditional healing & rejuvenation therapies. I love working with my hands, herbs, crystals, energies and other gifts mama nature provides. From the caring lens of Ayurveda I view pregnancy, birth and motherhood as a very sacred time of life deserving much respect, nurturing and care of the mind, body and spirit. I also believe in the profound wisdom and power of woman's body to give birth naturally and peacefully trusting her inner guidance. I'm rejoice with of the role of mama's supportive partner and their profound positive impact of her birth experience. My intent is not only co-creating a positive, memorable birth experience, but wellness, happiness and harmony within all stages of parenthood. Besides standard care I offer many sacred rituals and ceremonies to make this stage of life even more special (if desired). I love working hard to prepare you and support you so you can have the birth of your dreams! I spend a lot of time in nature, especially in water. I love to swim in the bay and dip in local streams, talk to trees, admire the beauty of flowers. I love to ride & massage horses, forage for wild herbs and make potions and medicines, dance, sing, paint, play my keyboard, and write (including children books), even have a little Blisshorseart shop on etsy, offering unique clothing. I love to spend time with my family. I'm a mama of two grown children and one new baby grandchild.
