I cannot say enough positive and kind words about Sharlene! Her support and guidance were exactly what I needed during so many ups and downs of my pregnancy. This was my second birth, my redemption birth. From our first meeting, I knew she understood my husband and my trauma from our first birth, our goals for this birth, and what we desired and needed. This started with her encouraging and validating my decision to change OBs at 28 weeks. She wrapped her supportive arms around us as we were monitored extensively at the end by a specialist. She answered every message with such grace, always saying just what I needed. She advocated for us before we even got to the hospital and I looked to her throughout. Sharlene, my husband, and new OB made up my dream team and curated my redemption birth. I am overwhelmingly grateful to have had her in my corner, then and always.

We cannot say enough good things about our beautiful experience working with Sharlene. Before the birth, she was kind attentive and incredible resource for getting educated in both prepping for birth and supporting the emotions of the last few weeks of pregnancy. She entered every question thoroughly and without judgement, and gave us both a lot of peace of mind and calm going into birth. She provided some great tools and recommendations for getting in a good mindset and being educated about birth. Our birthing experience was very special and large part because Sharlene was with us every step of the way, both in communication and in person. We ended up needing to go directly to labor and delivery from a 39 week appointment, and our intentions and thoughts to labor at home before coming to the hospital were completely thrown out the window. Sharlene was there for us through it all, helping us as we navigated a rapidly changing environment and when we needed her most, she came to the hospital and provide provided incredible support. We could not have been happier with how the actual birth happened, and we feel that Sharlene was a key piece of the puzzle in making the experience what it was at the end of the day. Sharlene was immensely supportive immediately following birth in the hospital as well as in the follow up home visit. Her wide breath of knowledge and support for immediately postpartum was very comforting for both of us especially during the transition home after a relatively calm hospital experience. We could not recommend her enough to anyone looking for a caring, informed and supportive doula to be part of your birth. We only hope we are so blessed to work with her again!

Sharlene was an absolute game-changer during the birth of my second child and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She is incredibly knowledgeable and provided me with so much helpful information on how to prepare for birth. Whenever I had questions or concerns, Sharlene was always quick to respond. Thanks to her guidance, I felt completely prepared for the big day. While the birth of my first child left some mental scars, I wanted to make sure I had a better experience the second time around. We knew that the birth of the second child could be a much quicker process than birthing the first. Turns out it was extremely fast, my baby was born just 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Sharlene was there on time and took charge, communicating my birth plan with the nurses and the doctor on call while my husband and my doctor - who was supposed to deliver the baby -were rushing to get to the room in time. If Sharlene wasn't there I would have birthed by myself without anyone to communicate our plan. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I feel truly honored to have had Sharlene by my side during such a special moment. She made things very easy for us. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a smart, supportive, and compassionate doula!
