About Shaye

Hello, I'm Shaye Maxwell! I am a Dona certified Birth Doula working in the st. Johns area. I focus my practice around the needs of the Mamas I serve. Birth the way you desire! Whether that be at home, private center or hospital birth. Working on beneficial nutrition, labor sensation management, and prenatal yoga are just some of the ways we can work together during prenatal visits. During your labor, I will be there to support you and guide the team through your birth plan. At Birth with Balance we also offer Postpartum care, this service is truly molded by mama! Whether you need support for feeding, help around the house, or support on doctors visits a postpartum doula might be just the trick. Whatever your needs may be I can be there for assistance. Postpartum is a time of changing emotions, routines and habits an extra hand and heart could always be of good use. Hope to hear from you soon!

Birth & Postpartum Doula services

At Birth with Balance we are offering Birth Doula support, Postpartum care, and private childbirth education classes. During prenatal and labor, as your birth doula I will be there to support you in anyway I can. We can focus on wellness, education, labor sensation or anything mama feels drawn to about childbirth. Throughout the process of labor I will be there to help guide Partner and Mama through the birth plan. As well as advocate for your desires to the medical staff. If your newly growing family is looking for an extra set of hands, the postpartum service might just be whats best for you. Whether its Lactation consultation, help with other little ones or around the house. Or simply a friends to talk to and give support during a time of change. I will also be offering private childbirth education classes!
