I hope to give birth in a birth center (still looking into one), out of pocket budget for a doula and potentially chiropractor/pelvic floor specialist is ideally no more than $2-4k. Would love a certified doula who has multiple years of experience (as well as certified chiropractor and pelvic floor specialist if my budget/insurance allows), English as primary language. This is my second pregnancy and I am 20 weeks, I am late in the game to look for these specialists because I am just now deciding against a hospital birth this time around. My OB says there is a 20% chance she'll be in the room for delivery, apparently that's average. I want someone in the room who is there to uphold my wishes and birth plan. I want a natural birth. I funny want to clamp the cord until it spots pulsing. I'm on the fence about vitamin k. I don't want my baby to be bathed right away, or taken from me. Giving birth at evergreen hospital in Kirkland Looking for doula support through birth as well as post partum support and night nurse support through the night for a short period. Mother is 36. Would like support with sleep training, light cleaning. Possibly cooking but are exploring options.
