Hi, I’m Nicolette Meinert, the founder of Family In Bloom. I have worked with children and families since 1997, when I completed my first American Red Cross babysitting course. My path in early childhood care began in Wakefield, Massachusetts, where I volunteered in summer-school and after-school programs while attending Galvin Middle School. I went on to study Early Childhood Education at Wakefield Memorial High School. Since graduating in 2004, I have worked as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher and as a full-time nanny, caring for children at many stages of development. I bring nearly three decades of experience, a calm presence, and deep respect for the trust families place in me. Newborn & Family Care My greatest passion is supporting families during the newborn stage and helping parents feel more confident as they adjust to life with a baby. Through Family In Bloom, I provide overnight infant care, postpartum support, newborn-care guidance, and thoughtful care tailored to each family’s routines, values, and needs. I have cared for several sets of twins and understand the distinct needs of multiples and the practical support their families often need. Whether you are welcoming your first baby, growing your family, or navigating a more complex newborn experience, my goal is to offer dependable, compassionate, and safety-centered support. Specialized Infant Experience I hold a special place in my heart for medically complex and premature newborns. My experience includes supporting infants with NG tubes, G tubes, and oxygen needs, as well as premature babies born as early as 30 weeks’ gestation. My commitment to this work grew while caring for premature twins who were born at 30 weeks’ gestation. That experience reinforced my belief that families caring for babies who need extra support deserve skilled, steady, and compassionate care. I work within my role and collaborate respectfully with each family’s established medical team and care plan. Safety-Centered Support Safety is a central part of my work. As an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer and Child Passenger Safety Technician, I enjoy helping families build practical skills and confidence around everyday safety. My approach combines continued education, careful attention to each child, and support that feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. Education, Training & Certifications My education and professional development include training and certification in: Early Childhood & Family Care - Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care infant, toddler, and preschool teacher - CAPPA Postpartum Doula - Newborn Care Solutions Newborn Care Specialist - Infant and Child Training Academy Multiples Care Specialist Infant Safety & Wellness - Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Technician - Safe Sleep Ambassador - American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer - Medication Technician Feeding & Specialized Infant Support - Infant Feeding Technician - Pediatric Tube Feeding - Oral Ties - Infant Mental Health - SleepWonders Integrative Course for Professionals

I support families in the weeks and months after baby arrives. In person, virtually, all across Hampton and the surrounding NH towns, southern Maine, and the North Shore of MA. Most nights I'm in your home while you sleep. I handle the feeds, the diaper changes, the 3am stuff, so you can actually rest instead of running on empty. Daytime shifts look different depending on what you need that day. Some families want a hand with the baby. Some want help around the house. Some just want someone there who knows what they're doing. I used to get tangled up in the idea that paid support wasn't as real as a village showing up for free, but I don't anymore. When I was in it myself, some of the people who showed up were paid and some weren't. In the moment, I didn't care which was which. I was just glad someone was there. What matters is whether the person in your house is actually present with you, not just going through the motions. That's what I try to be.

Kourtney is gift to the postpartum world. We will forever be grateful for her help in our first nights as new parents and her continued support to this day. Her calm demeanor immediately put us at ease and we felt so comfortable knowing that our baby was under her care during her overnight stays. She is incredibly organized and knowledgeable. We loved that she created a live notes doc to update us on our son and also provided us links and information on questions we had asked. Kourtney wants the best for families and we truly felt this support. Even just recently she met with me to go over a carseat concern I had and was able to fix the problem in minutes. We love Kourtney and could not recommend working with her more!

I was extremely anxious during my second pregnancy after having a miscarriage during my first. I didn’t know what to do and had many questions with just about everything. Cheyenne was very patient, friendly, and professional. She answered about every question I had and provided me with great support. I was about to relax a little bit with her around. I will definitely work with her again the next time around.

ERIN HAGERTY STEVENS | erin.hagety@gmail.com | (857)600-8005 | Duxbury, Massachusetts Overnight Nanny | Newborn, Preemie & Multiples Care | Family Assistant PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Experienced childcare provider, childcare-business operator and mother of three with decades of hands-on experience caring for children, beginning with non-sibling childcare at approximately age 12. Former owner/operator of a childcare service in Bondi, Australia, where I developed and executed the marketing plan, grew the client base, coordinated additional American nannies and traveled with families throughout Australia. Earlier childcare experience includes independently creating and operating children's summer camps in Duxbury and serving as a substitute teacher in a local pre-K environment. Mother of identical premature twins, now age 11, whom I cared for from birth while simultaneously raising their then-3-year-old sister. Extensive experience with multiples, overnight infant care, feeding and sleep routines, infant reflux, dairy allergies, dietary restrictions and the realities of managing several young children's needs at once. A Communications graduate of Tulane University, I place particular importance on understanding the individual I am interacting with—whether a child, parent or fellow caregiver—and treating each person with respect. Calm, adaptable, nurturing and highly organized, I work particularly well in team-parenting environments and can quickly shift from focused one-on-one care to monitoring and engaging multiple children. CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE Founder & Camp Leader Independent Children's Summer Day Camp | Duxbury, MA Seasonal, beginning 1992 • Created and independently ran a children's summer day camp from my family home in Duxbury during my middle- and high-school years. • Operated two-week camp sessions each summer for 4+ girls ages 3 and older. • Developed the daily program, activities and schedule. • Provided lunch plus two healthy snacks each day. • Planned and supervised outdoor physical activities to keep children active and engaged. • Created and led a different nature-inspired craft project each day, incorporating the outdoors and natural materials whenever possible. • Balanced active play, creative activities, meals and quieter periods to provide an engaging and varied experience. • Maintained a safe, structured and welcoming environment while supervising several young children simultaneously. • Developed early experience in childcare entrepreneurship, activity planning, meal preparation, group supervision, organization and earning parents' trust. Owner / Operator & Traveling Childcare Provider Independent Childcare Service | Bondi, NSW, Australia • Founded and operated a childcare service supporting local and traveling families in Bondi and surrounding areas. • Developed, produced and executed the marketing plan used to build the business and attract families. • Grew the service to include 2+ additional American childcare providers/nannies to help support client demand. • Worked directly with parents to understand their children's personalities, routines, developmental needs and family expectations. • Coordinated caregivers, schedules, family communication and day-to-day childcare-service operations. • Built close, trusted relationships with client families, many of whom became lasting friends. • Developed a reputation through relationships and referrals, including being sought out by expatriate families with connections to Cape Cod. • Traveled with families and provided childcare away from their primary residences. • Frequently accompanied families to additional homes and destinations along the New South Wales coast, adapting quickly to unfamiliar homes, travel schedules and changing routines. • Helped children maintain consistency and security while moving between locations and environments. • Worked in coastal settings where some family properties were accessible only by boat, making lifeguard training and strong water-safety awareness particularly valuable. • Applied water-safety principles while caring for children of different ages, abilities and levels of aquatic comfort. • Navigated childcare challenges specific to the Australian environment, including identifying potential environmental hazards such as unfamiliar spiders and determining when additional safety precautions or assistance were appropriate. • Developed exceptional adaptability, resourcefulness and situational awareness while caring for children away from their normal environments. • Provided families with a high level of discretion, flexibility, independence and responsibility. Private Family & Parenting Experience Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Multiples & School-Age Care | Duxbury, MA • Raised three children, including identical premature twins, now age 11, and their older sister, who was age 3 when the twins were born. • Simultaneously cared for two premature infants while meeting the developmental and emotional needs of a preschool-age child. • Extensive firsthand experience with overnight infant care, frequent night waking, soothing, feeding schedules, diapering and sleep routines. • Significant experience managing the unique demands of twins and multiple young children simultaneously. • Experienced with infant acid reflux, including associated feeding, soothing and comfort challenges. • Managed dairy allergies and dietary restrictions affecting the twins. • Personally familiar with gluten-free dietary needs, food sensitivities and careful food preparation. • Comfortable transitioning quickly between focused 1-on-1 care and monitoring multiple children as a group. • Work well within a team-parenting approach, respecting parents' preferences, household routines and established expectations. Substitute Pre-K Teacher - Magic Dragon • Served as a substitute teacher in a pre-K environment working directly with children ages 3 and older. • Supported children with a range of personalities, learning styles, individual strengths, unique gifts and developmental challenges. • Adapted communication, expectations and activities according to the individual child rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. • Helped maintain a structured, respectful and supportive classroom environment. • Worked collaboratively with caregivers and educators while remaining attentive to individual children's needs. CHILDCARE & FAMILY SUPPORT STRENGTHS Premature infant experience Feeding and sleep routines Toddler, preschool, school-age and preteen care Identical twins and multiples Night waking and soothing Children with differing developmental needs and abilities Overnight newborn and infant care Travel nanny experience Children's activity and program development Infant reflux Team-parenting environments Outdoor physical activities Dairy allergies and food sensitivities One-on-one and group childcare Nature-based arts and crafts Dietary restrictions and gluten-free households Family-assistant support Meal and healthy snack preparation Coastal and water-safety awareness Maintaining children's routines while traveling Lifeguard training COMMUNICATION & CARE PHILOSOPHY My education and professional background in Communications reinforce something I have practiced throughout my childcare experience: consider the individual human being you are interacting with and treat that person with respect. Children have different personalities, abilities, sensitivities, communication styles and developmental needs. I believe effective childcare requires observing those differences, listening carefully and adapting how I communicate and engage while maintaining appropriate boundaries, consistency and safety. I am equally comfortable providing focused individual attention or shifting quickly into group supervision when several children need attention at once. I also value a collaborative relationship with parents and other caregivers so that children receive consistent expectations and support. ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Senior Marketing & Communications Professional Accomplished senior marketing and communications professional with extensive experience developing marketing strategies and managing complex projects, budgets, events, schedules, vendors and cross-functional teams. This professional background brings an additional level of organization, communication, discretion and problem-solving to childcare and family-assistant work. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Exceptional organization and scheduling abilities. • Experienced managing numerous competing priorities simultaneously. • Comfortable making decisions independently and adapting when circumstances change. • Experienced managing logistics, appointments, schedules and detailed coordination. • Collaborative team member who also works effectively without supervision. • Professional, discreet and respectful of family privacy. EDUCATION Tulane University - Bachelor's Degree, Communications AVAILABILITY Seeking part-time opportunities in Duxbury and surrounding South Shore communities, including overnight nanny care, newborn and infant overnight support, twins and multiples care, parent overnight relief, recurring or occasional overnight coverage, travel nanny opportunities and family-assistant/childcare hybrid positions. SAFETY TRAINING Lifeguard Training — Prior training; details available upon request. Infant/Child CPR & First Aid — Completed classroom recertification training on April 17, 2024. Comfortable administering CPR and have successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver on an infant more than once—for my own child and for a child in my care.
