I plan to give birth at Kettering health main campus. I do not have an estimated budget as I am a first time mom and want to see what is out there. I want to have a natural birth as long as possible, but am open to an epidural if needed. I do not want to be induced or put on pitocin. I am still early and researching on a full birth plan.

Massage, counter pressure, peanut ball, yoga ball, tennis ball, support person keeping steady count out loud for me to focus on while going through contractions near the end. No cord cutting until mother says so- extended time needed. No pulling on cord as the placenta is being delivered. Doppler use for checking babies heart while in labor. Free movement necessary for pain management. Baby is to recieve no eye ointment, no vaccines, and remain in mother's arms for immediate bonding. No blood sugar testing. Breastfeeding as soon as the baby is ready, on demand. Frequent sessions on breastfeeding expected and given.

Im a first time mom and alot of these things im seeing about birth and the things people are scared of some of the things after looking into them a bit ive realized is not required and I need someone who knows how all this works especially in the hospital i have a horrible fear of hospitals and needles and I just feel having someone who knows everything about all that with me to help explain ALL my options instead of the ones people usually pick would be so lovely and helpful, I would love to have a birthing pool involved but i also do not want a home birth I want to be in a hospital in case anything at all happens but I love the homebirth lay out if that makes since, im only 11 weeks so far and im actively getting on medicaid because we dont have much money and I do not wanna be in debt forever, I have an amazing partner who is helpful with everything already but neither of us know what to expect other than the horror stories ive heard from other women I dont know anything about the actual birthing experience and it terrifies me I want to have someone who can help explain things better to me so I can make decisions best based on me and how I feel about things.
