Almost 5 week old with issues latching almost from birth. We’ve been using a nipple shield since week one and it’s been off and on issues with it. More recently her latch is getting shallow and causing nipple pain for me. I would really prefer not to use the shield as she leaks with it and by the end of the feed I’m drenched in milk. At every feed I try to latch her straight to the breast and every once in a while she will latch for a minute or two and then be fussy until I use the shield. I have noticed that when she try’s to latch without the shield she opens super wide like she’s trying to find the shield and then won’t latch to the breast. But when using the shield she doesn’t really open wide and I kind of have to force her to. I’ve also noticed in the last few days she has been curling her top lip in every feed and then her bottom only does it every few feeds. I can do in person or virtual but would prefer in person. I do not drive and so I have to work around my husbands schedule so earlier in the morning is best, or evenings closer to 5-6pm. But weekends are ideal. I have 3 different insurance’s and baby only has bcbs.

I'm looking into having a doula along for my third birth. My first two labor experiences were straightforward with a few hiccups, but I'm looking for more flexibility and agency this time around. I plan to labor at the hospital and am open to an epidural or not depending on how I'm feeling in the moment. I'd like to retain movement as long as I can tolerate it. I don't have a budget in mind right now, I'm beginning the research process.

My daughter Mila Eckell is nine weeks old and is completely refusing a bottle (she is breastfed). We have tried giving her one bottle a day since she was a couple days old and she really will only take an ounce if she doesn’t refuse it. We switched from the even flow natural wide neck bottles to the Lansinoh bottles and that seemed to help for a while but now she is back to refusing and I go back to work in two weeks. We are panicking and really looking for help. Thanks!

I am a first time mom currently 12 weeks postpartum and struggling with my milk supply. I have tried many things to try and help up my supply with no luck so our pediatrician wants me to see a lactation consultant. I was producing around 6-7 ounces up until 4 weeks PP every pump and now am sitting around 2-3 ounces per pump. I breast and bottle feed my son but mainly nurse at night, i often have to make small bottles after i nurse because he does not seem satisfied. I think he has a good latch but i am still pretty new to this so i’m not 100% sure. My main goal is to up my supply and nurse more often with him feeling completely satisfied afterwards. T.I.A!
