I want to have a natural home birth, a possible water birth. So I need to feel comfortable, which means standing in different positions, music, massages, stretching ect. I need delayed cord clamping and to be able to keep my placenta. I also need help with the process of taking care of the placenta and how to have it capsuled. But I really just need someone by my side as a friend, to walk me through this and to explain my opinions.

I have had two previous c-sections followed by a vaginal delivery. This will be my fourth baby. With my first baby, I had progressed to an 8 and they elected to put me on pitocin which I believe was the cause of my daughter’s heart rate dropping and the cascade to a c-section. My second baby I was told I needed to be induced because I was 41+4 and after being in labor all day and not progressing past five the doctor said they were not comfortable continuing with the induction and I would need a c-section. My third baby I needed to be induced because I had low fluid levels at 41+5 and she was born vaginally after being in labor for two days with fluids being added in. They did use forceps to get her out because her heart rate was fluctuating and I did tear internally. I am hoping to have a vaginal delivery. I would prefer in a birthing center or hospital. I do have insurance and am comfortable paying what is necessary. My birth plan includes low intervention, intermittent monitoring, movement, will ask for pain meds if I need them but do not offer. I prefer to try without. Delayed cord clamping, don’t pull on the umbilical cord to deliver placenta, don’t push interventions, give me time to think and give you an answer.
