First time mom to be, I am 29 years old looking for a Tricare authorized birth and postpartum doula. Baby will be born at Winchester Medical Center Virginia, and I need some assistance on making decisions as far as the birth plan and what is the best route for me and my baby.

I plan to give birth at home or at a birthing center via a tub birth. I need a provider with a certification that meets Tricare's requirements, speaks English, and has at least a year of experience. I do not have a budget estimation but have seen that Tricare does cover a doula and a midwife. I have Tricare Reserve Select.

I’m in the early stages of trying to conceive. I have had multiple pregnancies in the past so getting pregnant will not be the issue. I want to be as prepared as possible prior to getting pregnant since I plan to do this pregnancy without an ob/midwife. (Previous pregnancy trauma around doctors). I plan to give birth at home.
