I just found out that I am pregnant! No ultrasound or blood test yet. My husband and I were trying for a baby, so we are very excited. I would love to learn more about working with a midwife and find a potential match for me. From what I have learned so far, a midwife seems like a great choice if my pregnancy is low risk. I am 27, and don't have any major health issues - I would say I am pretty healthy and active! I am a little afraid of giving birth at home, and like the idea of a birthing center. However, I could see myself fully leaning into a holistic natural birth at home if that is possible. I would love to find someone who is supportive, patient, and genuinely loves to help first time moms like me. Side note - I do have a major phobia of vomiting, and would like a provider who can support me in that area as well.

I am still exploring my birth preferences and would like guidance from an experienced provider. I plan to give birth in a hospital unless my plans change. I am interested in postpartum support, newborn care education, breastfeeding support, emotional support, and help adjusting to life with a new baby. I am looking for someone who is experienced, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and knowledgeable about infant care and postpartum recovery. Experience with first-time mothers, breastfeeding, and family adjustment is preferred.

This is our 2nd baby and we didn't have the best experience in the hospital during our first birth in 2019. Now that I'm pregnant at 40, we're looking for more of a natural experience, with less of the trauma. We have found a doula through this site and are now looking for a midwife to assist with home birthing. We're completely new to this idea, but are very open to it. My medical insurance is through Medi-Cal, specifically Anthem Blue Cross. I've noticed that providers within your company accept it, I'm just not sure to what extent considering this is my first time looking into this option.

This my first baby. I would like to birth at home and in case of emergency help with a transfer to the local hospital and be present for the birth. I have a full birth plan that intend on discussing with my midwife but that's the basics of it. Preferably I'd love a midwife that's holistic and medically trained. I am having my first baby and I’m hoping to do an unmedicated water birth with little intervention as possible. I’m hoping to get support for myself during this pregnancy and for my birth where I feel my OB isn’t fully able to assist.
