When I took my doula training, I was eighteen and pregnant with my son Julian Alvarado! Julian was my first experience with newborns, and it was an incredible experience for me. As I was young and had no work experience, I started as a part-time daytime nanny. Later on, I began doing night nanny work while still working daytime.
