I’m a researcher, practitioner, and birth doula centering well-being, equity and accessibility in all that I do. I’m from Ireland and Sierra Leone, though I have lived in Canada for 8 years and became a Canadian citizen. I hold a BSocSc in Sociology and Social Policy, and an MSc Research in Global Health (cum laude). I have a particular interest in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with a focus on maternal health and reproductive justice. Rooted in the belief that those most impacted by challenges in our world must be at the centre of developing solutions, I prioritise participatory and co-creative approaches in my work. I’m passionate about contributing to purpose-driven initiatives that prioritise people, community and environmental health. As a birth doula, I bring the same values to my practice, centering relational care that prioritises justice, dignity and choice.
