"Faith-rooted doula care for calm, physiological birth & a peaceful postpartum. LA & OC." Hi, I’m Teejay Casado, a faith-based certified birth and postpartum doula serving LA & Orange Counties. Through Temple & Terrain Birthworks, I support mothers in trusting the natural, physiological process of birth while feeling empowered and prepared for whatever path their birth may take. My focus is on minimizing trauma and toxicity while cultivating peace, calm, and a soul-filled, faith-rooted experience for both mother and family. With a background in anthropology, I honor birth as both an ancient physiological process and a sacred rite of passage. I offer compassionate birth support, postpartum care, Ayurvedic bodywork, and whole-food-based nutritional guidance—creating a safe, nurturing space where mothers can step into their transformation with confidence and grace.

I set up my business Temple & Terrain Birthworks because it is my calling and passion to provide compassionate birth and postpartum care support for families in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. My services include prenatal education, continuous labor support, birth attendance and gentle postpartum care to help you feel informed, empowered, and nurtured in every stage of your journey, no matter the path to your birth. My service leans toward a holistic care approach and I offer a very special service for the body; Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage as well as placenta keepsakes, and whole-food based nutrition support, blending ancestral wisdom with faith-centered guidance. My role is to walk alongside you, offering emotional, physical, and spiritual support so you can step into birth and motherhood with confidence and peace.

Rooted in Faith. Radiant in Surrender. A holistic, faith-centered journey that prepares your body, mind, and spirit for birth—trusting God through every path it may take. 2 x Prenatal Sessions (In-Person or Virtual) Physiological birth education, mindset and breathwork training, faith-based preparation, and hypnobirthing techniques. Includes birth planning, natural pain-management tools, and late-term bodywork practices to support alignment, comfort, and confidence. Continuous Labor & Birth Support Virtual guidance during early/prodromal labor and continuous in-person support from active labor through 1-3 hours postpartum. Grounding comfort, evidence-based pain management techniques, and prayerful presence for a calm, empowered birth experience. 1 × 3-Hour Postpartum Session Support in recovery, holistic newborn care, breastfeeding confidence, baby-wearing tutorial, emotional support, and community resource list. Optional Ayurvedic Abhyanga Bodywork Add-On ($125) for restoration and hormonal balance. Do you support hospital births?

Yes. I help families create a calm, grounded environment in ANY setting while working respectfully with care teams.

What if my birth isn’t unmedicated?

With my doula service you are supported no matter the path. My role is to help you stay informed, peaceful, and connected through every outcome.

When should I book?

Ideally between 20–30 weeks—However, it’s never too late to have support. Whether you’re only a few weeks from birth or newly postpartum, I welcome you. The most important time to feel held is during labor, birth, and the sacred days that follow after birth. Even after birth, you can book me for postpartum care and recovery support. Many of my clients enjoy consistent bodywork for several weeks after birth as part of their postpartum care plan.

Do you take Carrot Fertility or payment plans?

Yes — I accept Carrot clients and offer flexible payment options.

What is Ayurvedic bodywork?

A gentle warm-oil treatment that restores balance, circulation, and emotional grounding after birth.

Why is Ayurvedic Abhyanga bodywork helpful in postpartum?

Abhyanga is a traditional Ayurvedic warm oil massage that supports a mother’s recovery on every level—physical, emotional, and spiritual. The gentle, rhythmic strokes calm the nervous system, restore circulation, and help regulate postpartum hormones while grounding the body after birth. Modern studies also affirm these benefits: postpartum massage has been shown to reduce stress, pain, and fatigue, improve sleep, and support milk flow through increased relaxation. A 2024 pilot trial found self-Abhyanga lowered stress by over 16% and improved quality of life, while a case report on Ayurvedic Management of Postpartum Depression demonstrated its value in emotional healing and recovery. Abhyanga offers mothers what modern medicine often overlooks—warmth, touch, and sacred restoration.

Do you support homebirths?

Yes, I fully support homebirths and love helping families prepare for a peaceful, physiological birth in the comfort of their own home. My role is to help you and your family create a thoughtful birth plan that honors your vision while preparing practically for all possibilities. Together, we discuss comfort measures, environment setup, and what to expect during each phase of labor at home. I also help families develop a hospital transfer plan—so if transfer ever becomes necessary, you can move forward calmly, informed, and supported. My goal is to ensure you feel safe, confident, and cared for—no matter where your birth journey leads.
