I am really wanting a midwife experience, alongside a hospital birth. My husband and I have Kaiser insurance, and understand that a lot of midwives don’t accept that healthcare plan. Hoping to see a midwife for prenatal care and birth in a hospital!

I don't have insurance so I am paying out of pocket for ultrasound, lab work, anatomy scan etc. I want the anatomy scan read to me in case the office isn't able to read the results to me.

I’m open to giving birth wherever it’s possible, preferably hospital because it’s safer but I’m open to home birth too, if I get enough of education and coaching. I am looking to do a home birth in 2027. I am not yet pregnant but will be starting to try to conceive in the next few months. I am looking for a midwife or OB for prenatal appointments as well as birth at home or at a birth center. I want someone that aligns with my values of natural birth and a more holistic approach to medicine. My budget is less than $10,000 out of pocket and I would need them to accept insurance and/or HSA for payments.

My goal is a low intervention VBAC. Open to either home or hospital—but I am leaning towards laboring at home for as long as I can before giving birth at a hospital. I am in search of a Midwife or Monitrice (LM or CPM perhaps?) who can help me labor safely at home (provide fetal monitoring, look for signs of rupture, preform cervical exams if necessary.)
