About me

Hi, I’m Therna Cherisme, founder of Purify Mommy Care Services and a birth and postpartum doula currently completing my professional certification. As a mother of six, I bring both trained support and lived experience to the families I serve. I provide compassionate, hands-on care throughout pregnancy, birth, and especially the postpartum transition. My heart is helping mothers feel seen, supported, rested, and confident as they adjust to life with their new baby. My support may include birth preparation and advocacy, emotional support, newborn care, postpartum routines, nourishment and light household support, and creating space for Mom to rest and recover. I believe caring for the mother is an essential part of caring for the entire family. I serve families throughout the Kansas City metro area, offer private-pay birth and postpartum services through Purify, and speak both English and Haitian Creole. Purify Mommy Care Services provides compassionate birth and postpartum support throughout the Kansas City metro. I support mothers with birth preparation and advocacy, emotional wellness, newborn care, rest and recovery, nourishing routines, light household support, and overnight postpartum care. My goal is simple: care for the mother so she has the space and support to heal, bond, rest, and confidently transition into life with her new baby.
