The cost of a night nanny in Toledo, OH can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Toledo, OH, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hello! I’m Ciara, a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula offering attuned support during the early weeks and months with your new baby. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and bring over 12 years of experience supporting infants, young children, and families. My approach blends evidence-based knowledge with a calm, intuitive presence. I specialize in newborn cues, development, supporting regulation, and helping families find a sense of rhythm and ease during the fourth trimester. My work is rooted in a holistic, whole-child philosophy that honors each baby as an individual and each family’s unique values and goals. I believe babies thrive when their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are supported alongside the well-being of the entire family. I focus on responsive care, co-regulation, and helping you build confidence in understanding and meeting your baby’s needs with greater ease. My background includes six years with the University of Michigan’s Towsley Children’s House and Michigan Medicine’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, where I cared for both typically developing and medically complex infants. I am adult and pediatric BLS certified. Whether you need support with newborn care, feeding, sleep, soothing, or simply space to rest and recover, I provide gentle guidance, thoughtful education, and practical support so you can settle into this new season with greater clarity, confidence, and calm. Kindly, Ciara

Cari Walters

6 years of experience

Thank you for taking a minute to learn more about me! My name is Cari Walters. After an eight year battle with infertility, including a full year of testing, medications, and numerous hospital visits, I started my own mom Journey. My husband was deployed to Iraq for the birth of our first child. I would have been all alone if it wasn’t for the close-knit military wives (and occasionally my mom who lived out of state) that encircled me during this precious time. If it wasn’t for these women loving on me and advising me before, during, and after my birth, I know it would not have been such a positive experience. I knew at once that I wanted to support and love other moms in the same manner. I started out supporting new moms by being a part of a group called MOPS. My husband returned from war and shortly after we were blessed with a second baby without all the fertility trials. I continued working with moms through the MOPS organization as we moved across the country to Colorado. It was there that I met a beautiful friend and fellow MOPS mentor who introduced me to being a doula. In 2020, after taking the 200hr course with 75hrs of clinical work I began my journey as a full spectrum doula. I absolutely love birth and postpartum work but quickly learned that I really shined on the postpartum side of birth work. I concentrated on obtaining my Newborn Care Specialist certification and Sleep Guide Certification to improve and round out my skills as a postpartum doula.

Cari has been wonderful to work with. Highly recommend. She is very professional, supportive & knowledgeable. She always arrives on time, maybe even a little early. I appreciate that she always leaves a note recapping the night with how much the LO ate, diapers & any comments on sleep or suggestions. My animals also loved Cari and the extra late night pets!
