I wanted to give birth at a birthing center. I wanted to see what my insurance would cover. I wanted a midwife and doula and possible lactaction consultant. My insurance is Molina medical
This is my second baby and thankfully I’m able to breast-feed. However, I currently am using a nipple shield and I would like to remove it and have the baby Latch on directly. Additionally, I am worried about my supply if he is getting enough milk when latched on. I am pumping about an ounce on each breast.
Hi! My husband and I are expecting our first child early August. We’re so excited for baby boy’s arrival! With that, we’d love to connect- are you available as a night time doula after baby boy arrives? If so, can you please share pricing? We do not have family nearby, and we’re first time parents trying to navigate our growing family, learning how to care for baby boy, and managing sleep! Thanks!
I am planning to give birth in a hospital and am looking for a certified doula who accepts or is familiar with TRICARE Prime coverage. I'm not sure what to expect regarding the cost, so I am hoping to find someone whose services are covered by TRICARE or eligible for reimbursement. I am due on November 20, 2026. My birth plan is to try a low-dose epidural at first, with the option to increase it if needed. My goal is to have the best pain relief possible while maintaining safety for me and my baby. I prefer to avoid Pitocin unless it is medically necessary. I would also like to avoid giving birth flat on my back if possible and would prefer to labor and deliver in side-lying or other upright, supported positions as appropriate. During labor, I would like to use comfort measures such as a birth ball, peanut ball, and squat bar, and I prefer intermittent fetal monitoring if it is safe for me and my baby. After birth, I would like delayed cord clamping, to leave the vernix on my baby rather than wiping it off immediately, and to have uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact with either me or the baby's father for about the first hour before routine newborn assessments, provided my baby is healthy and does not require urgent medical care. I would prefer to delay the hospital bath and decline routine eye ointment unless it is medically necessary or required. I understand that my birth preferences may need to change if there is a medical concern for me or my baby. I am looking for a certified doula with at least 10 years of experience supporting hospital births. I am 28 years old, this is my first pregnancy, and I plan to breastfeed if possible but am open to supplementing with formula if medically necessary. I would also appreciate postpartum support, including newborn education, breastfeeding guidance, and sleep training support after my baby is born. Most importantly, I am looking for a doula who complements my husband's role rather than replaces it. As first-time parents, we want someone who can help create a calm, low-stress environment, guide my husband on ways to comfort and support me during labor, and empower us to work together as a team throughout the birth experience.

Looking for a lactation consultant to assist with pumping. Breastfeeding went well but pumping now that I am back at work is not as effective. I have Blue Shield of CA Platinum PPO Plan and would like to see the lactation consultant in person.
I want to find someone who takes blue shield of california platinum ppo plan for as much of the care as possible. I want someone to come to the house and help with post-partum related needs. Ideally I would have a postpartum doula and/or night nanny three days a week for the first month or so, but I would want the care to be covered by insurance. I'm open to being flexible and figuring out how to best do that.
Where do you plan to give birth? I'll be giving birth at Cedar's Sinai in the Los Angeles area. Estimated budget between $1,500-$3,500 for birth support depending on experience and package inclusions. Describe your birth plan I'm aiming for a natural, vaginal birth and want to avoid a C-section unless it becomes medically necessary. I'm open to an epidural or other pain management options to make labor as smooth and manageable as possible, but my priority is a supported vaginal delivery with strong advocacy throughout. Requirements for the provider I'm comfortable working with a doula who speaks English, though Spanish fluency is a plus. Most importantly, I need someone who will actively advocate for me at the hospital and help me navigate decisions in real time to achieve the best possible outcome. I'd prefer a certified doula with meaningful hands-on labor support experience. Details about care recipients This will be my first baby, due in July. No special needs or complications currently anticipated. Additional duties Beyond labor support, I'd love guidance and education around lactation and breastfeeding. I know it can be a challenging journey and want to feel informed, prepared, and supported through it from the start
