We’re looking for an experienced overnight newborn care provider for the first 1–2 months postpartum. Ideally, we’d like someone with both NCS experience and postpartum doula credentials. A formal postpartum doula certification is strongly preferred for possible reimbursement through Carrot, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, or Progyny. Our main need is overnight newborn care, not cooking or housekeeping. My parents will help with meals. Responsibilities would include feeding support, bringing baby to me for breastfeeding, burping, diaper changes, soothing, safely settling baby back to sleep, bottle/pump-part cleaning, and tracking feeds, diapers, and sleep. Mandarin is preferred, but English-only is completely fine for the right candidate. We strongly prefer someone who has cared for 15+ newborns, with substantial recent experience with babies 0–12 weeks old. Hospital - Mills Peninsula Burlingame (but stay home as long as possible because I hear going to hospital too early results in more complications) Provide your estimated budget $2000-$2500 Describe your birth plan I don't have a fully fleshed out one yet and need some help crafting it if the birth doula can help. I want vaginal birth as much as possible unless there are absolute necessary conditions/complications that require a C-section. I don't want induction unless it's absolutely necessary. I want an epidural and also open to try other pain relieving methods but that doesn't mean I don't want epidural.

Hi there! We have a 3 month old boy and currently are using a newborn care specialist overnight 7 nights a week. Her contract is up and of September and she is unable to extend. We are looking for someone who can watch him overnight in October until we are comfortable starting sleep training. We will be out of town October 12-16, but ideally would love someone to start October 1-11, and resume again October 16-October 31. We are located in Burlingame!

This is my first pregnancy, and I am planning a hospital birth in the Bay Area. I am looking for a birth doula who can educate my husband and me about our options and help me develop a birth plan based on my goals and circumstances. I have not yet decided whether I want an epidural or an unmedicated birth, so I would like someone who provides balanced, evidence-based information without pushing one particular type of birth. During labor, I would like support with breathing, relaxation, movement, different labor and pushing positions, massage, counterpressure, and other comfort techniques. I also want someone who will actively involve my husband, teach him how to support me, and help both of us remain calm and understand what is happening. It would be helpful if the doula offered prenatal meetings to practice labor positions and comfort techniques and discuss interventions such as induction, epidurals, assisted delivery, and Cesarean birth. Experience supporting hospital births, inductions, epidurals, unmedicated labor, and unexpected changes is important to me. I am also interested in pregnancy-safe exercises and pelvic-floor and birth preparation. Please let me know if this is part of your training and services, or if you collaborate with a pelvic-floor physical therapist.
